  1. EA81 or EA82? Here an EA82 kit. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Subaru-1985-1987-1-8L-OHC-EA82-Weber-Carb-Conversion/331100259795?fits=Make%3ASubaru&epid=591465372&hash=item4d171d05d3:g:G~0AAOSwcN1aWTb9 Say's won't fit power steering but it will with slight modification. or get the manual choke version from same seller.

  2. when was the timing belt system last serviced? Is the cel on and what codes are stored? (parts stores can scan for trouble codes - or a phone app and an ELM327BT adapter can be helpful) holding some small tubing to your ear and moving the other end around the intake tubing and other spots - maybe you'll hear a loud sound?

  3. Use a Subaru or Mitsubishi timing belt. That's 15 months overdue on belt replacement as it's 105,000 or 105 months. Most folks on this forum recommend a complete timing belt kit - belt, pulleys, and tensioner, and water pump. Since the timing belt relies on none of those failing to work properly. The belt and lower cogged pulley (it's only $40 from Subaru) are the bare minimum, that pulley fails often enough that just replacing the belt doesn't make sense for only $40. Get Subaru or AISIN timing kits or piece together the koyo, ntn...etc pulleys and tensioner and pump. eBay is a good resource for this as well.

  5. it will work for a while. But yeah, 130 hp will eat the 4-speed.

  6. 4 Speeds are junk. Find a 5 speed dualrange from a newer GL and throw it in. Run what you have until it blows up and then upgrade.

  7. Isn’t this exactly what @heartless did in the second reply?? I bet if everyone ignored the initial request because we don’t have the info the OP wants to read, the first reply would be from the OP with something along the lines of “really? No one? No info?”. I’m keen to see this strut delete. The only one I’ve ever seen was on Phinzinza’s MY wagon that he used for jumping (and I’m talking HIGH!). He added an upper wishbone to hold the top of the hub where the strut usually did the job. Not road legal, not worth yours or someone else’s life on the open road! To me the fabrication required for a strut delete is way more effort than swapping springs on struts or building a strut/spring combo to put on the vehicle. If the idea of spring compressors scare the bejesus out of you from some past bad experience, maybe you need to make something like this to do the work with: Cheeky Russians have their spoob sorted! Quick, safe and easy! If you’re looking at fabricating a strut delete in a Subaru I’m 100% sure you can build a device like this and sort out your current suspension. Cheers Bennie

  8. I can’t speak for the Board but I sure don’t recall the USMB peddling any products other than USMB regalia. Otherwise , the kits are still out there. Keep looking. And then there’s a whole mess of us that think Webers belong in Italian sports cars and not much else. You’ll find one soon. Good luck.
