  1. Lots of stuff going down with the loyale recently! Picked up an EJ22 with 280K miles on it and I am going to do a basic reseal/t-belt job on it. This EJ will be boosted with a TD04 and fxt intercooler that i've had sitting in the garage for years. Got my harness trimmed by SJR and he did a great job and it only took him one day to do it. So happy that everything is coming back together in the loyale. Only thing I need to start slapping things together is an EJ 5 speed transmission and i've already two lined up, one 3.9 and the other 4.11 with matching rear diff.

  3. Bottom line is : my mechanic with looking at all the scan tool data he found no reason for the po456 code. He found no other codes or pending codes. The light is off so if it comes back then he will do further testing.

  4. Yes and no. Depends what hat I'm wearing at my performance shop. Most of the time I'm management, and sometimes I'm the janitor. My most important role is as the shop's lead diagnostic technician. Occasionally I get to open up my $14,000 Snap-On tool box and *just* be a mechanic - usually on weekends when no one is bothering me and I'm usually spending that time working on personal vehicles or projects - none of which are Subaru's other than the wife's Outback. This is our website: http://superiorsoobie.com/ Does that answer your question? GD

  5. Just noticed your location. I love Palma. I was there many times with the Navy back in the 80's. If you need a good rack from Colorado, and help installing let me know. Larry

  7. Alright boys, last update for a little while on the engine, waiting on parts to arrive and attempting to find a decent oil pump and TRYING to find new cylinder head nuts for it, someone decided to clean the garage while i was at work and now i'm missing 3 head nuts and washers, in any case...i'll be stripping down the suspension and driveline here in the next few weeks so i'll post pics of that, in the mean time...here is the current status of the engine, mostly assembled.

  8. I’ve always filled my L series to the brim. Not the same setup as the EJ models but still has the charcoal canister in the engine bay all the same. No issues in ten plus years. If I go with the single click and stop filling the fuel gauge isn’t on full. If doing this is it is best to be doing a bit of a drive before stopping the vehicle for the night/a period of time Cheers Bennie
