  1. Get an aftermarket gauge that actually indicates a temperature figure, then you’ll see it move up and down. Factory temp gauges are built to stay steady within certain parameters to keep the consumer happy. Once that needle heads north it’s already too late!! The NA Loyales came out with a single core radiator. I’m not sure of what models came with dual core. Even here in Oz they all had single core for NA from factory. If your AC gets warm at the lights it needs a service - or the fans looked at to ensure proper air flow when stationary. Cheers Bennie

  2. So I was tired of just laying my hood support rod flat as my holder was broken. It has been like this for the past few years. The P/N for the holder is 657214080; it is still available and is under a buck at SPFY. However, it is one of the newest parts on my Brat. Simple things such as these parts can add a few horsepower to the older Subaru's and a bunch of 's. Please disregard the dirty engine compartment. I need to clean it up well.

  3. Are you talking about the service manual supplement? If so yes. After looking again I found it. So for anyone else here it is. BTDC 15* +/-3 @800 rpm

  4. Wasn't that lucky for it to be plug and play but I have the fsm for the 02 and got the wiring schematic off a Forester forum for the 05 and made a jumper harness going between the two. Luckily I had gotten the gusset also with the mirror being as its different. The mirrors have different mounting points. Not one of the holes lined up. The gussets have four mounting points three on the top and one on the bottom. The three on top lined up pretty well. The bottom one didn't. I left the bottom one out since the mirror felt stable enough with just the three. I hope this helps.

  5. Awesome. Hoses could be bad or those clamps or the hoses could be low quality aftermarket. sounds like you got it. If you have more issues you might consider new Subaru hoses and clamps as they’re higher quality and checking to make sure the radiator isn’t cracked. The part the hose slides onto can sometimes crack or break. I’ve seen some where the hose only fits over a couple millitmeters of the radiator, less than the width of the clamps and that’s with stretching the hose a little. Not an ideal long term situation.
