  1. It lives! I took it for a ride and definetely noticed a change in behavior! There is still some old fuel in it so I think the minor sputtering will be there until it burns it all. It fired up right away! No whinig of the pump. All other systems are ok (except the steering rack's leaks) maybe another time.. I took a pic quickly during the test drive. And I also made an appointment for the periodical inspection. I'll work on fine tuning and painting the rear quarter panel. I'll post the updates!

  3. What does your owner's manual have to say about tire chains? That should be the first stop on this adventure.

  4. Also in case you're not aware, it's an AWD car. It needs to be towed on a flatbed if the engine doesn't work. Don't let them tow if it's the type with two wheels in the air and 2 on the ground.

  6. dont have a Pep Boys around me, so didn't bother to look at the ad, would do me no good. lol but yeah, if they have the right weight, go for it. I know oil can be a hot button topic, but my nickle's worth is this.. better to keep the oil level full, even with mediocre oil, than to let it run low. the 90 Legacy i had some years ago leaked oil pretty badly when i got it (oil separator plate) so until we had the time to yank the motor and reseal it, i used the cheapest oil i could, just to keep it full. After getting the reseal done, it got better quality oil and it was changed regularly - no ill effects from the cheap stuff - at least not while i was driving it. ended up selling it to kid for parts about a year after I parked it.. he got it started and actually drove it home.

  7. @Loyale 2.7 Turbo - we got the four door sedan Royale in the later stages of the Leone model. It had the MPFI EA82 and everything electric you could throw at it other than a digi dash. I too am keen to see pics of the vehicle in question We love pics! Cheers Bennie

  8. Oil choices will do very little to prevent expensive repairs on a lightly used daily driver. The best thing you can do is to check the oil and coolant level often. Every fill up, schedule it monthly, etc. Low oil is the chief oil issue by many orders of magnitude.
