  1. When you get a bunch of wheel slip the computers will often set wheel speed sensor codes. Happens literally every time we run cars up in the air on a lift. They will clear on their own when it doesn't see the fault for X number of drive cycles. GD

  2. Well, I have just test driven, and agreed to purchase, this fine example of an early 1984 build 3ed gen JDM Leone sedan. It is the top spec trim, and has digital dash, trip meter, cruise control, air con, and was fitted with the height adjustable suspension (now removed). Trans is 3at auto with part time 4wd. It also has a sweet water to air intercooler setup fitted by the current owner. Drives very well. Pulls harder than my old turbo wagon, with the intercooler. All the electrics work. Best bit? Only 129,000 kms since new. Only issue is leaky sump gasket. Hopefully will collect next week once WOF and rego done. Here's a teaser pic... And yes, I will be keeping Gertie... Keep your eyes peeled for the next stage of her build (she's going up in the world!)

  3. Yup have been following yours! An extensive project. This will be kept pretty much as purchased as I suspect it is only going to appreciate in value. Definitely a Sunday car!

  5. So I've had a odd noise from the passenger rear end for a few weeks. Got worst when turning so I checked and repacked both rear wheel bearings. Didn't fix it. So today I went to swap the axles, and found my problem. Car was factory axles, which have a rubber cover over top of the steel straps that hold the cv boots on. Somehow some mud had gotten under it, it was rubbing bottom of the shock! Never would of noticed it, but my spare axles didn't have the cover. Taking a closer look I noticed there was a shiny spot on the outer one. And sure enough shiny spot on the shock.

  6. Back in 2013 I made an attempt to revive all the dead photo links of mine in this thread... Made it to like page 7 before giving it the ghost... This year I've made it to about page 23 so far. That includes all the old American Subaru ads and some from Germany and Netherlands... There is much more to be revived... the jdm ads begin on like page 45 or so. Anyway, the posts that I did revive should be around for a good while now, have changed my image host thanks to a tip from Loyale 2.7 Turbo. If you weren't here around the time of the original posts, chances are you never got to see them before the images died a few days to weeks later. Enjoy them like never before! Some bonus photos and info added where available, or see them for the first time. Get that nostalgic feel, reminisce, get inspired, learn Subaru History! It all begins back at page one... More to come in the future if you all wish... Pics of my '82 to keep on topic... My third eye saw it coming...
