  1. They don't include enough grease for this application and it's not very good grease for this environment. And it's better if the grease is allowed to flow into the inner pocket and between the bearings. You will have more grease and it will stay cooler overall (just don't pack it completely full or it will overheat). GD

  3. Welcome ! Sadly , many folks don’t use this great forum as much these days due to face boo I hit a few Subaru groups there and don’t waste any time if possible. Personally I use it but also can’t stand it at times. More family friendly here for sure. And much much much less moronic behavior issues. Best of luck with the Brumby. Still find it funny and yet somewhat annoying that your market continued to receive the MPV into the 90’s when ours ended in 87. Enjoy the board. Several of us have parts catalogs and service manuals and decades of user knowledge. Just may have to be patient with less traffic when seeking answers. Cheers !

  4. Sometimes its just the darn simple things, finding them can be the tricky part. Amen it was just the throttle cable and air in the coolant system. Sidebar: Escape from Azkaban lately?

  5. Transmission shop pulled P2760 they said indicated 2nd pulley sensor. Of course it was driving fine while there. More research I think. Good info. I tried to upload the file but it was to large. 6. I've seen the timing cover warp and rub on a good pulley, but that pulley is clearly separated. "Needs a new engine" HA!

  7. Needs a crank pulley (harmonic balancer, etc) and a new mechanic. Any idiot can see the balancer rubber has failure. Which means his mechanic is *less* than an idiot. Keyway and key are fine. Replace the pulley and the center cover (and any other timing components that are damaged or due) and move on (with a new mechanic). GD
