  1. honestly, would not put Monroes on a Subaru.. they are soft, almost mushy feeling KYB struts/shocks, and either OEM or KYB top mounts. takes a shop all of 5 minutes to squash the spring, pop the nut off the top, swap out parts, and reassemble one. We had the shop local to us do the other half's fronts for us.. in and out in about 15 minutes.

  2. Having to move seems to be the current theme going on. Our landlords want us to move out so we were given our standard 60 day notice out of the blue. Not good and totally unexpected. So I’m frantically putting one of the projects together so it’s back on all four wheels so we can easily move it! Hopefully finding a suitable place to live won’t be as difficult or as expensive as over here; all housing, whether buying or renting went nuts with the prices skyrocketing just after the pandemic started! All the best, and good work on the engine install. I’m looking forward to reading about a successful start and no leaks etc! Cheers Bennie

  3. Pics purge. Let me brother do the PCV placement. Fresh 1” hose , RTV and clamp as per Rick’s direction. My brother is a former Subaru tech from around 1978-82 or so. He questioned most everything about it. But after review of GD’s post and the realization that the PCV was in the block and not the intake it made sense to him. But that makes him a great tech. See ya soon. Ciao!
