  1. Yes !!!! Somehow I just put a little brute force and ignorance into it. It was the drivers side that was hung up. Not sure how or what caused it but I wiggled and jiggled and after I pulled my pants back up it came loose ! LOL And right elbow says thanks as does the dog. She loves to ride sitting on that pad rubbing up against me. Thanks for the support ! Dad is doing ok , should be in the hospital another day as they check him over.

  2. hugs for Dad from me too. I am also an Orphan, of sorts.. lost Mom in 2012 - never really knew dad, so no idea if he is still around or not. Life is short.. tell those you love that you love them every chance you get! (and that includes the furbabies!)

  3. 22mm i believe is the minimum thickness... at least that is what the FSM says for my 2002 Forester, with similar specs for a 16" wheeled 2006 Outback... the 17" wheeled version has slightly larger specs, so I would suggest checking the FSM for your vehicle per the 2002 Forester FSM... Standard value - 24mm (0.945in) Service limit - 22mm (0.866in)

  6. Last time I tried to post a FB link it asked you to sign in. It’s just two screws per side. I had thought for sure that there was also a clip or two but according to the drawing and parts list it’s just two screws. FB is not for me but I use it to my advantage and stay the F away from the majority of that BS. Attention seekers galore. Pity seekers too, and more unhealthy comments from the crumbs of society. Sorry but that’s my opinion. If you dare to join FB it’s there in the USMB group. https://m.facebook.com/groups/UltimateSubaruMessageBoard/permalink/4492587204137074/?m_entstream_source=group&ref=bookmarks

  8. give your Dad a hug. I'm an orphan now, can't hug my parents anymore. And yeah, wish I felt as good about waking up everyday as my old dog. Everyday is the best day ever for that guy!

  9. The strut came with new bushings that i used. I drilled out the metal parts to fit the larger diameter strut rod. I also had the same issue with the spring compressor. After I did the first one I realized there was almost zero spring pressure because it was so worn out. So I just pointed the second one out into the grass, and zipped it off with the impact. It only slid like 6 inch's lol. I had had issues with the Toyota struts blowing out. The struts are longer and bottom out before the bump stop hits. I have tried stiffer springs, but haven't found anything that works perfect. I am running ProComp struts because they have the best warrenty.

  10. U-check (no connectors) can be checked w/engine off....but will get 11 and 13 often. Otherwise....the proceedure is to connect white or greens (read or D-check) then start car, run engine over 2000 rpms for 40 seconds......drive 1mph or more (a small forward/reverse is enough. Checks VSS and Nuetral switch operation)......the CEL will either flash continuously if everythings OK......or it will light solid and output codes on the ECU L.E.D light. Plug in both conenctors and repeat until the CEL flashes for clearing codes.
