I was at Lynnwood again yesterday to pull some parts off the '95 Legacy sedan that I posted earlier. I got the transmission, rear diff, a/c compressor, starter and an axle. I even got to use my 5% discount (whoopee). Anyway, I found out why the car was in the yard; a pretty signifcant bash in the oil pan. I would doubt anything in the engine is damaged past the oil pan and oil pickup portion. Not much work to pull the engine (only 122K miles). If nothing else it would make a great rebuilder. I also walked the new arrivals portion of the yard and there were three new EA82 arrivals.

Rob, call me next time and I'll lend you my PORTABLE pressure washer. It's slow but only costs me the water. -

Wait until you find the mud underneath. It took me almost two hours with the pressure washer to get the underside "reasonable". I couldn't believe how much mud was caked on the underside after just 5 under one minute runs! -

how do you not be a "new user"?
edrach replied to pickle-rally's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Patience and time. We were all "new users" at one time or another. And we all paid our "dues" to get where we are now. You'll get there too. Frankly, I'd trade places with you anytime! -
Glad you made it back safely. The two Blue Mountain passes can be tough; one of them is long and pretty steep. I've done them twice in the winter (not fun) and three times in the summer; once towing my son's '84 wagon home from Mountain Home, ID.

You'd see more in Vermont and New Hampshire. But even so, there's a much higher concentration in Colorado and the entire west coast.

I didn't take many pictures of this years event. Too busy with the two rallycrosses and then too tired to take anymore. These are mostly from the early Friday morning arrivals at Registration. I just loved this Brat from British Columbia. More pics can be found at my WCSS9 photo album. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showgallery.php?cat=1025

Too tired to take any pics this year (don't ask). But I found a thread on nasioc. First batch didn't pull up for me, but the later ones seem to work just fine. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1296372 -

I walked the yard yesterday and they have quite a bit in right now. Two or three new early Legacies, about a half dozen Loyale/GL cars, and three EA81's including a hatch. I got another visor and a really clean headlamp off one of the Legacies.

CCR great to deal with. We bought an engine for my son's '82 Brat over 6 or 7 years ago (hard to remember when). Engine still running fine even if the Brat isn't. Minor problem with the oil sending unit; we got an engine with a sender for an oil guage (GL) and needed one with a pressure switch (DL). Our error since we didn't know the difference at the time and hadn't mentioned it when we ordered the engine. We called and the problem was promptly identified and resolved over the 'phone with no charge to us.
