  1. You are not alone. Cones wiped me out too. Oddly, I didn't hit a cone in the afternoon.
  2. Results are up: http://www.oregonrally.com/files/RX_4_13_08.pdf Great job ORG.
  3. Nice pics Connie. I'm sorry we couldn't talk more. A pleasure finally putting a face to the posts. I'm sure I won't see you again before you head back east, so have a pleasant stay and a good return trip.
  4. Craig and I visited the rallycross field this evening. Interesting condition; field is pretty dry except for the large puddles of water in some spots. With tomorrow being quite warm and dry, Sunday's run will be quite dry unless they bring the water truck.
  5. Hi Jerry, I would have to have been senile not to figure it out; but anyway it was fun while it lasted. Pamela should explore the other forums as well and decide where she wants to enrich herself.
  6. Safe trip Connie. Sleep on the plane. Looks like the weather might warm up for your arrival.
  7. I have a set of these for sale in the FS forum. They are 15"x7" width and 34mm offset. The reduced offset gives a wider stance since the tires are further out than stock. They came off a '98 Legacy and I bought them before I realized the significance of the offset. They are fine for most Subarus but there is that issue of long term reliability resulting from pre-mature wear on the wheel bearings.
  8. I think he's mis-reading something here. Most American Racing wheels for the Subaru are 38mm offset; they will fit but the reduced offset has the potential of premature wheel bearing failure.
  9. 14" wheels were the stock size on the early Legacy and Impreza. Nothing wrong with them and they will work just fine on those models. Later models went to 15" and 16" to accomodate the larger front brakes and the desire of "bigger is better." I run 16" WRX wheels on my '97 Impreza with low profile tires to keep the odometer error to a minimum and they look just fine. However, I run 14" wheels on the same car for rallycross to reduce weight and because 14" tires are less expensive than 15" sizes (besides I don't know of anyone who makes 16" rally tires that I could afford).
  10. 14mm offset is unacceptable. OEM alloys in a 14" size run 50 to 55mm offsets. I suspect the 14mm offset is a typo.
  11. Yes, check qman's post about Jason and Subiegal. Either would ship to you. I deal mostly with Jason and his toll free # is 1-866-528-5282.
  12. Aftermarket versus OEM is an issue that comes up often here. There is significant anecdotal evidence to support OEM parts (especially the thermostat and PCV) to convince me. If you're not convinced, that's your perogative. As to the cost differential, I buy all my OEM parts from my favorite on-line dealer in Auburn, WA. Even with the $5 shipping cost, there isn't a significant price differential for me to consider aftermarket for these two items.
  13. I mis-read his original post and didn't realize that he had also swapped transmissions. Generally speaking, if you swap engines use the original manifold so as not to confuse the ECU.
  14. Best place down your way is Pacific Import Auto in Tacoma. 1-253-536-0389. They are open Tuesday through Saturday, closed Sunday and Monday. Today is a good day to call and talk to Dave or Steve. Tell him you got it off the USMB.
  15. According to the FSM, the automatic signal is 1 volt so grounding it sounds like the answer. Check my other post for the pin outs.
  16. I'm certainly not the expert here, but I've always understood that the EJ22 blocks are all the same and the big difference is that the manifold sensors are the main change. Swap an engine, use the original manifold to keep the ECU happy. If that's not the case let us know how you resolved this. See my other post about the P1702. From my reading of the FSM, the signal the ECU is looking for is 1 volt; if you also installed a manual transmission, you'll need to rig up a way to get a 1 volt signal to the ECU to keep it happy.
  17. Nothing. P1702 is automatic transmission signal is low. I don't know why you should get this if you still have the AT installed. I'd start looking for a broken wire or bad connection that might have occurred with the engine swap. You're looking for connector B55, pin 11 of the TCM to B84, pin 80 on the ECU. I can mail you the three pages of troubleshooting info from my FSM ('97 Impreza) which might help. Drop me a PM with an address and I'll get it off to you.
  18. Did you use the original intake manifold on the donor engine? Everything the original ECU is looking for is on the original manifold.
  19. Great pics, Jamie. Very accurate portrayal of the actual conditions. I think we had more rain on Saturday for the school than Sunday for the rallycross.
  20. I agree; it would be so nice if RallyX and AutoX would get together more.
  21. Oh, that's a bummer! I was hoping to meet Connie in person and I've already booked the room in Hillsboro.
  22. Next RallyCross ORG RallyCross - April : Apr 13 Details at http://www.oregonrally.com/rallycross.cfm Keep track of the coming weather: http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=Hillsboro%2C+OR Results posted 4/14! http://www.oregonrally.com/files/RX_4_13_08.pdf
  23. I led a deprived childhood (wasn't allowed to play in the mud).
