  1. 50 is enough for some of us; we'll let you have an honorary membership.
  2. Pics are up. I like this one. Makes me look fast. http://shutterdriven.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=9707

  4. Here's what one of my tires looked like (actually all four did) after a day of rallycross school and a day of rallycross after that. And from the other side:
  5. Thanks to McBrat, here's my Impreza after a day of rallycross school.
  6. Truth be told, John, I did hit a cone on the second run. Either no one noticed (Charles and I did since I thumped it pretty hard) or it came down within the box and didn't count. Either way, it wouldn't have made a difference even if it had counted.

  9. Odd, I can't seem to upload any pics. I'll have some as soon as I figure out what I'm doing wrong.
  10. Eurowrx failed to mention he took the gold in Modified4WD. M4 was handicapped by getting the brunt of the rain/snow/sleet which slowed that class. It was certainly a good day for me and I benefitted from "windows" of opportune weather. I'm not sure I had the fastest run in my class (I'll wait for the "official" resuts) since I think there was one faster run than mine. It was a lot of fun however. I've got to thank Gary for the fine schooling at the Paul Eklund school and to Charles (cfwdfw) for the friendly competition; competition makes us all better.
  11. Primitive Racing's rally school took place this past Friday and Saturday. All kinds of weather: rain, snow, sleet, hail and lots and lots of mud to challenge the students. Charles and I managed to smoke the youngsters in the final exam rallycross. Pics posted as soon as I can re-size them.
  12. McCleary has seen a ton of rain since the time that Centralia/Chehalis flooded. It's going to take a couple of weeks of sunshine for the ORV park to drain and become usable for rallycross.
  13. Saturday's PRG event is cancelled. Here's the scoop: Hello everyone - just returned from checking out the park, and it is very soupy. About 3" of snow, and 8-10" of cold, yucky, slimy, nasty... MUD. The field closer to the highway did not look much better, almost the consistency of tundra, yup that sloshy. As I sit here typing this note, it has begun to snow yet again!!! Therefore, upon the advice of the course crew, we are cancelling the event. I will let you know when another make-up date can be scheduled. Kim Craddock Get your jollies by heading south to Hillsboro, OR for Sunday's event which will be held.
  14. Not only muddy, but it looks to be pretty cold also. Hope you can make it. See you there.
  15. Looks like the mud tires again for this weekend. http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/...McCleary%2C+WA
  16. Looks like mud tires will be preferred for the rallyschool and rallycross next weekend. http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=Hillsboro%2C+OR http://www.pdxsports.com/photos/showindex.asp?folder=200803RX http://shutterdriven.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=8795
  17. More than 3 days (more than 300 miles) without a stumble/miss and no CEL. Looks like the MAF I installed did the trick. My suspicion is the connector contacts more than the MAF itself. This is one of the places where FHI used gold plated contacts on the connector. Happiness is finding a wrecked Impreza at PAP yesterday which had the MAF intact. It's in my spare parts kit now.
  18. Just a wild guess on my part: Bad solder joints. Normal cause for intermittant failures in automotive electronics. Age does in the joint and vibration causes it to fail.
  19. No longer need the carfax info on this; I got the information I needed in another way. Thanks.
  20. The primary difference is that MWE either inspects very carefully and/or replaces the DOJ and CVJ sections with new. Most rebuilders regrease and reboot and hope for the best.
  21. Thanks Mick for figuring out what's wrong with the link and getting this pretty huge file posted.
  22. Hopefully I'm not jinxing myself, but the Imp went the entire day of driving (~100 miles) without a stumble. It would be nice to know it's fixed. We'll see.
