  1. Thanks for your help all! I ordered the part from my local dealer today. Kurt
  2. Bump! I know someone must know the part number of those plastic rings on the EA81 wagon wheels that the center cap pops into. I remember a post not too long ago that someone mentioned they came 4 per package. I have tried serching, and I cannot seem to locate the post. Anyone?
  3. Alright, I reserved site 50 tonight! I hope to bring the Brat, but worst case I will drive the Baja! I went to this campout a few years ago and had a blast! I am looking for 2 ea81 wagon wheels, a front set of red print Subaru mud flaps, and a ea81 factory skid plate if anyone has any of these items. Kurt
  4. Hey All! Tonight, I went to air out my Brat. I unlocked the drivers door, and opened all the windows and fun tops. After goofing around with other stuff in the garage, I went to open my drivers door. I lifted the handle, and nothing happened. I reached inside, and pulled on the inner door handle, and still nothing. When I use each handle, I can hear something moving inside by the latch! I have gotten inside, via the passenger side, and tried to open it by pulling on the handle and giving the door a good shove, and that didn't do it either. Does anyone have any tips or ideas to try? Thanks, Kurt
  5. Wasnt "Hot to Trot" the name of a bad movie from the 80's with a talking horse?
  6. Hello Everyone! I am looking for a few different Subaru part numbers. The first is for the plastic rings that mount on the center of the wagon wheels. These are the rings that the center caps clip into. Also, I am looking for the part numbers for any bushings, washers, misc. that I will need to "tighten up" the stick shift on my 1986 Brat. Thanks for the help! Kurt
  7. It's not unheard of to get 200,000 miles on a Subaru! After 100,000 mile, you will want to think about replacing your timing belt. Other than that, its just normal matinance items like any other car. And you will love the AWD in the Minnesota winters! Good luck! Kurt
  8. I will take a tshirt in a large, plus I would like a red targa stripe for the 85-87 Brats. Shoot me a PM with a total shipped to 55060 when you have the final details! Thanks, Kurt:banana:
  9. I have had good luck with paint from auto parts stores made specifically for metal trim. I know Plasticoat makes some that is the correct flat black, and it seems to hold up well. Hope this helps! Kurt
  10. Looks great! Are you from Blaine, MN? I live down in Owatonna, and its always fun to meet another midwest Suby lover! Kurt
  11. Count me in Mick!! I had a great time when I went, which I belive was the 3rd midwest meet. Everyone was so laid back and friendly, and very family oriented. The only weekend that does not work for me is the one after 4th of July. Otherwise, I am looking forward to going, and bringing the Brat! Kurt
  12. Does anyone have the part numbers for the rubber pads that slip over the pedals for a 2nd gen Brat? Or, has anyone had sucsess finding them at Napa, Autozone, etc? Thanks! Kurt
  13. After having owned some Brats in the past, and making the mistake of getting rid of my 'nice' one, and I back riding in Brat style! I purchased the 1986 Grey Brat on Ebay recently. This is the one that was in Wisconsin, not the one that was in Chicago with missing inner door panel and spray paint patches. Anyways, the body is as good as advertised. my wife and I drove out to pick it up last Sunday. After visiting with the seller a bit, he remembered that he had a brush guard for it. It turned out to be the Subaru A style bar. It needs to be sandblasted and painted, but thats easy enough to do! I have already made a trip to our local library to check out thier copy of "How to Keep Your Subaru Alive". I still have my 04 Baja Turbo 5 speed, and my wife has a 09 Forester, but its fun to be back with an old school car! Hopefully the Brat will be able to make an apperance at this summers Midwest meet. Kurt
  14. I purchased my Baja's class II hitch off of ebay. I was working at a parts store at the time, and it was cheaper to buy from ebay with shipping than it would have been through my store with my discount. I cant remember the sellers name, but they were base out of Wisconsin. It is a Hidden Hitch brand, who I belive makes hitches for Subaru's accesorie line. I hope this helps! Kurt
  15. Hey all! I've been out of the USMB loop for a while, so I just thought I would see who is all out there for Minnesota Subaru fanatics! Thanks, Kurt
  16. Hey, hope you had fun in MN! Sorry, I didnt see your post until after your visit, but hopefully next time you come back us Minnesotans can give you a genuine fellow USMB welcome!
  17. Nice to meet you Eric! I hope you had a safe drive home! Here is the pic I took of our Subarus parked next to each other! Kurt http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=12918&cat=500&ppuser=1391&sl=e
  18. Yhea, der, I am down here in Owatonna, bout a half an hour south of ya! You say you drove your Suby up here? If your heading through, you can stop by for a soda! Kurt
  19. Also, I will be parting out a gl10 sedan later in the summer, if nothing else works out for you! Kurt
  20. I think I remember seeing a thread like that on NASIOC or scoobytruck.com. Hope this helps! Kurt
  21. It was an Amberfire Peal 2000 club cab 4wd with the 4.7. The only thing I miss is having a rig to pull a car trailer with. Oh yhea, and the color! Kurt
