Now, Im reading the wiring is going to be funky on my 86 vs the 87.5 cars and I'll have to get the intake machined to put the coolant passage on it..true?

KBD and I are building my motor for my wagon. I know where I can get a spyder for a NA car,and legand has it, that I can just tap a coolant passage in the intake, and it will work on my turbo car...is this true? anyone actually done this?

Well as it turns out, Subaru bottom ends with 168k are not happy to run at 20+ PSI....If I kept driving it, I have no doubt in my mind that the rod would have let me see the inside of the block.

Hello, KBD and I will be hitting the local yards that are open on SUNDAY(10/23/05) We will be meeting at his house around 9:00. From there we will be heading to PNS, Then Action, and back to western. Finishing up at his house for some subaru wrenching. If anyone is interested in this, Please PM me, and I can get you my cell number, and directions to KBD's house. Any reason you want to put a bigger turbo on it? I like my stock turbo..but it doesn't like me..I have the boost turned up a touch (around 10psi) right now and the car doesn't seem to protest it much. I've run 25 psi....not a good idea unless you dont like that "new" motor...Mine has never pinged or done anything funny except blow off the intercooler at 25 psi..Im just lucky I supose..A/F gauge says its not lean...I dono.. Read as many posts as you can if you decide to turn up the boost...I've learned one thing about increasing the boost on your ru...read what everyone has done,and combine. Everyone does it diffrent, some right, some wrong. Good Luck!

come along is your friend...and Toyota trucks with tow ropes are also your friend...you should see some of the work i've done on civics...I've taken two totaled civics and made them look decent using this...I can help you devise a plan of attack...post some pics and we can get something figured out.
