I bought the car cause I thought it was a fair price (They where originally asking 8500, they screwed up on the craiglist ad (So they said) and I got it for 5500 Flat) I had been looking for some time and the closet I could get in the 3500 area was a Impreza Outback in not so great condition. As for the car, tires are pretty new. I just replaced the windshield, it has some weather related damage but no rust (My last car was more rust then car and I wanted less rust) Overall the car runs great. I think it may have a little bit of a clutch issue cause it sometime gives me problems shifting into 1st and reverse where I have to let go of the clutch and push it back in. I think with colorado springs the price is higher then most places and especially when it is a all wheel drive car getting close winter.

Just out of Curiosity has anyone tried using E-85 Fuel on there subarus? Are there subarus that use E-85 Fuel? And on the Subarus that don't have that listed has anyone tried it on them? I have no plans on using E-85 fuel but I have heard stories of people using it on cars that are not made for that fuel and it working with no noticeable damage. I was just wanting to see if any of you have tried it...

The dealship's price was to much for my taste, but my dad did buy it lol. And the rule is no modifications period... So I am looking for a Impreza atm -

AC doesnt work on it, however I do plan on getting it fixed (I believe it just needs a recharge, anyone got some freon? ) But with AC on those old wagons a pay very close to the temperature on the car along with battery power (My old gl was rather psychotic about its AC) -

Im not that mechanically oriented so I dont plan on modifying anything but maybe the stereo. How much more power can I expect from the turbo compared to my 86 wagon which has a 1.8L Single Port Fuel Injected engine with the same automatic transmission? -
I fully agree on the car with souls idea... My 86 has one hell of personality and it gets down right annoying sometimes. Ask anyone who rides with me. My car has a habit of talking me, and no I dont need meds, all you have to do is ask the car a question... The car normally ideals at about 800 RPMs and to answer yes it revs up to 1500 and no is about 200... To bad I will be replacing "Old Yeller" soon with a 88 turbo that has no rust and in general better condition. Anyone willing to adopt?

I am a little worried about that. There is defiantly a oil residue like it either has at one time had a bad leak, or currently leaks. -

Autocheck and Carfax reports show up clean, it seems like a garaged car... -
I have been out all day looking around for some decent old imprezas... failed... But I found a 1988 GL-10 Turbo with no rust, no dents, no paint problems, and the interior looks brand new (It seems to be some sort of pillow top design kind of weird for me but hey its comfy). It has 150000 miles on it and the engine looks like it is in good condition other then it may leak oil or has leaked oil at some time. Its a automatic and not four wheel drive (I was kinda looking for a 4wd car and maybe stick but hey this car is awesome looking). Interior wise it has the works, cruise control, sunroof, powered everything, trip computer, and one of those digital speedometer things). So What do you all think? Are there problems with the turbos? I really dont know much about that aspect of the GLs. Anyway thanks for the look!
