  1. sure scott we all would be interested! when ever i see you post i have to check it out. you are a great innovator and i always look forward to see what you will come up with next.
  2. after watching it all i need a daily driver/rally car...maybe a 94 legacy...any how, i had a great time, and the Audi with the blue paint job had it comin'. i belive in karma;) here is a few shots in my album. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=13949
  3. i have been on cranked suspen for over a year now and any camber was hardly noticeable. plus tire ware seemed to be even. lets face it, it will cost you practically nothing to do it and if you don't like it you can put it back in no time. i have to say though a lift sure is nice:headbang:
  4. i have been on cranked suspension and rear Honda springs and drilled out rims on 26 in tires for a while now and i can keep up with the best of them. some trimming was required zzz mann i have been waiting to use that:grin:
  5. hope my rig is ready on time...needs a little more "lift"
  6. --Jefferson County OHV area- There has been a /survey/ handed and emailed out so that the county can get an idea on wich site to push toward and what kind and amount of use a new OHV park might see. I will try and get that linked here. There will also be a Jeff. Co. "field trip" to Tahuya on Nov. 7th for county officials to see what could be expected from a new OHV park in their area. -- just curious to what it had to say.might give the county a call, drum up suport
  7. is it just me or is white the popular color choice in israeli
  8. any idea where i can get ahold of the jeff co. survey?
  9. --now why didn't' i think of that...sometimes the answer is right in your face. however i might head out to harbor freight and pick up a die grinder. the old stone bit just died in the drill. i need more speed.
  10. any one know where to get super strong stone bits
  11. wont that be hard to use on a finishing hole without it scaring?
  12. countersink bit?hard to find one big and strong. really sharp angled reamer?to no avail. die grinder?
  13. so i have decided to drill out a 2nd set of rims since my first set was so successfull but i have encountered a problem. the rims I'm drilling out are made of chrome steel. the holes were a tad hard to drill out but my 2 stage bit managed to tear through it. but beveling the hole has become a problem. i have gone through 4 taper stone bits on one rim and still do not have enough counter sink. any ideas of what i could use:confused:
  14. some one once told me that front springs from a 80ish ford tempo would give you about 1in in lift and a softer ride...just cant remember who told me that:confused:
  15. darn well i guess ill looking into getting a Webber (your thinking "why not rebuild?"...well...im lazy)
  16. you might get stuck but unlikely. just read the 4X4 FAQ. at the end they tell you how to handle mud. its not usually the rig that gets stuck, its the drivers ability that gets them stuck. so get out there and learn:headbang:
  17. my float sticks intermittently and i was wondering if there was something i could add to my fuel to free it. or do i have to tear the carb down? I'm a lazy sob so if you know of a trick, post it
  18. do not forget the tow rope and a dig camera. you will be using them alot pulling out rigs.
  19. it wiped off fairly easy so I'm guessing that its just clutch dust and after 190,000 miles i guess it should have some clutch dust on it. come to think of it this is the first starter Ive changed on a manual.
  20. so i put in a new starter today. a common easy thing to do. but when i pulled the old one out the gear and surrounding housing was covered in what i can only describe as black soot....odd...so....any ideas what could cause that? i have changed a starter or two in my life and have never seen anything like that before. BTW its a 86 gl d/r 5spd:confused:
  21. DAMN! them sure are purdy! cant wait to hear how it does on some fast corners.
  22. you dork:drunk: :drunk: and actually there is a ton of trails to be had in tahuya...a Subaru is sorta like a quad, gets in small places, hardly ever gets stuck,etc....
  23. so far so good man!! nice write up! usrm material all day!
