  1. Thanks for all the info, I am going to shoot for a trailer that is around 1500 lbs dry...I appreciate all of your time!
  2. I have the H4...the trailer electronic brakes..I have one kiddo, shouldn't be too much stuff...but it looks liek this trailer is too heavy, probably should get one that is 1500#'s to give some extra room.
  3. Any suggestions on a tranny cooler, there is a trailer here in town for sale that is 2500#'s GAWR but I think is too heavy...any thoughts?
  4. I am looking into getting a tent trailer for the family...I have a Subaru Legacy 2004 Wagon, A/T...I live in cali so most of the interstates are flat but there are some decent grades to head into the mountains. I think the towing cap. is 2000# but is that realistic, shoul I be looking for a lighter trailer....any experience/wisdom/knowledge would be great on towing a tent trailer and what the weight of it was! Andy
  5. I have an 04 Legacy Anniversary Edition, I get around 21 city, 26 Highway...it is an auto and I run on Caifornia gas, that oxygenated gas really pulls down the mileage, when i am out of state I get way better mileage.
  6. I have a 2004 Legacy LImited Edition. The front windshield sprays hit the sunroof better than the the windshield. Any ideas on how the spray nozzles can be aimed? Thanks
  7. THe prices for the 2004's will drop when the 2005's come out because it is a redesign. We bought a 2004 through costco and got the best price, 20 grand for the 35th anniversary edition...we love the car and hope they fixed the head gasket issues. I think we will be safe, only time will tell though. Unless you get the outback with the H-6, even with the 2005's you may run the risk of the head gasket failure.
  8. we have a 2004 legacy...the tweeter kit they have made a huge difference and was easy to install, the stereo would be hard to change out, let alone making it look good
  9. I bought a 2004 Legacy Wagon 35 edition last October. We also purchased the extended warranty through our Credit Union for 600 bucks, covers up to 6 years or 100,000 miles. So far we love the car, obviously to early to tell if we will have problems with the gasket. From the research I did before we bought they have supposedly fixed the gasket...now it is a 4 layer deal instead of the two layer the Phase I got. If we do have problems, i sure hope it fails before our warranty...if it fails after the car will be paid off at least. I think you are right on in regards to initial cost vs. extended cost. If you really like the Legacy, go for it, get the warranty to cover yourself while you are paying for the car and save the extra 6 grand.
  10. You need the thule feet 415 pack...here is the link http://www.thuleracks.com/thule/product.asp?dept_id=2&sku=415 They work great on my 04 legacy.
  11. no clue, although i do know there is big push to stretch the oil changes out...saves the environment and oil...volvo just put out a car that needs an oil change every 30,000, pretty crazy
  12. I have allwasy used techron every other oli change(6,000 miles) In my GM car, which have terrible injectors, I have had no trouble
