  1. don't ya love throwing up? that car looks like a decent one. like the color, but wonder how many miles.
  2. 2010 impreza at heurberger motors brand new is 15.5k base. many to choose from. buying new is about the same price as your 3 yr old one. not that the one you found is out of reason, the dealer around here would be asking 16k for a 2007 with 50 k on it, until you try to tell them a new one is less and then show them the facts to back it up. This is typical.
  3. did you check the 1/4" small coolant hose to the carb intake.....? it runs from right by the alternator over to the passenger side top of intake near the front If it is a crack in the block, might be able to jb weld it, but remember, cracks get bigger and bigger over time.
  4. We should have a get together somewhere near DM this fall. what days would be available, and who is interested. maybe have some parts swapping, grab some eats, tell stories, and whatever. MWSS09
  5. I am gonna see how much i can get for rusted out parts BRAT.... I agree Ben. Cars are rusted out here, and they go for double a non rusted car elsewhere.. We cant afford the rusty ones here, but the nonrusted ones in other places we can afford....McBrat bought his Red BRAT from AZ and he got his former Outbackturbo from out of state as well. Cheaper to do it this way. I probably am bashing too much lately. I was crazy, buying a rusted out pos BRAT for 700, but thats what they go for here. I got the bits i wanted from it, the cyclops was worth 150 to me. Now i got a rusted BRAT thats a POS. I would love to break even, but no way. its a loss. I could get out the can o bondo, and make the BRAT look real good, rattle can it, and get 1500 maybe. But that would be taking advantage. rOr I can just give it away...which i may do.
  6. nice find. Did you go ahead and pull it? we do want these. had a 4.11 rear i think.
  7. Congrats on getting it all correct. So many threads on this, you succeeeded.

    My Brat

thats a nice BRAT. i wish you call it a BRAt not a truck. truck is just so common, this is a RARE brat. the drawing, i see a square box. do i need cad software to see what it shows?
  9. if you own a BRAT, hang on, the coaster is going WAY up, especially once people find out the heritage, and they learn about the BRAT. Most people never seen one. 10G + nice brats here we come.....yaya
  10. i just talked to a junkyard recycler the other day, He said that recently, "all of a sudden Subaru car prices have gone way up, the wrecked totaled ones are now going for a lot more at auction, even the ones that are not fixable are going for a lot more than they are worth after fixing, compared to a few months ago" ??? anyone else hear this sort? he said its because they are more popular and more people think they are worth keeping and fixing.
  11. you can also use climbing rope or web strapping....for a subaru engine, not a big block....
  12. i've got spare coils think they are all good, they usually run about 15 or 20 at a junkyard.
  13. my experience shows about 165k is the mile mark the back struts seem to go weak that you can notice it in turns and bumps. replaced my former TW struts at 160, my current turbo leg about the same........ Normal wear item. so much better ride after new. makes the car seem like new again, and new tires makes it all that much better. Nipper was referring to both.
  14. not neccessarily true. I only got 900 for a 94 turbo leg wagon that was not rusted, a CO car. The people around here are not that big into Subarus, just the 5 or so people we have on this board, and we all only want a AWD or 4wd subaru. might not make any money at all on this.
  15. I can't seem to see them either.
  16. subaru made multiple marks and arrows as a tease, just for people who are unfamiliar with them. seriously, do not use arrows. its all just the hash marks/tick marks, no arrows at all. There are articles that talk of the arrows, and those articles are misleading, again. Maybe you are not using the correct crank mark? You will get it. At least that is a non-interference motor.
  17. pics would be good to help us figure the cut out.
  18. I am going to do this on my parts Brat, cut in half, and make the rear a trailer for my good BRAT.
  19. advise on getting a 91-94 legacy, non turbo. find one thats AWD, and a one owner. cheap, reliable, easy to find parts for. safe car. ej22 bullet proof lot more refined, higher quality materials than the 95+
  20. if you have a california model, you will have to locate a CA edition car....
  21. yes most of the 91-94 legacys had the 14". also the 95 L wagon had some 14" star alloys. impreza as well, year 93-97 all the above is the correct bolt pattern.
