  2. that should buff right out, or just put POR-15 on it and it will be like new
  3. I used gm top engine treatment on a carburated 79 monte carlo V8 305 once. With air cleaner cover off, dumped bottle into carb with engine running 3/4 throttle choke open til the engine Dies. Let sit over night. Next morning went to start. Here is the biggy.....it will not start worth a ************. Crank crank crank cough sputter knock cough sputter. That is the okd carbon busting loose. Finally it may start fogging the Whole town* neighbors will think you blew it up. You will think you blew it up. That engine ran forever though after that. Was good on the V8
  4. the pressure plate rests onto the surface, so it doesnt know the flywheel is thinner.

  6. brakes run off the vacuum booster solenoid. all cars will due this.http://auto.howstuffworks.com/auto-parts/brakes/brake-types/power-brake.htm
  7. mick, When you get to the finishing up point, are you planning on doing some "easy" trails first to test/break things in? If you are, and the trail is easy enough for a beginner like me, I would be interested in testing out my BRAT too, and could get some video shots of yours.
  8. i've got 15,000 miles on mine since going in on my 92SS
  9. is there a way you could use a trailer wheel ramp for that rock bump at the gate, the one i see pictures ff and your subies busting rear diff axles cups on the big rock hump....or maybe some old tires down and plywood over.
  10. http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5gsz39lpYrNG7OiKs3FJt6jhV6NEwD96MOMLG0 sales for Subaru were up in february too.
  11. i did this sticker on my BRAT, cutting out the horse portion. The sticker is not that weather durable.http://cgi.ebay.com/BRUMBY-BEST-HORSE-IN-THE-WORLD-STICKER_W0QQitemZ110322413840QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116
  12. well around here you can buy a brand new msrp 32 tahoe, for 15k, or a F250 for 15k that lists for 34k. KBB is like 15,000 overpriced. why buy used, when new is cheaper
  13. your car would sell for that 5600 in Denver CO. but since its a rust beltcar, yes, your price is quite fair.
  14. is your splash guard for wheel well rubbing the tire....? or does the splash guard have movement, that wind on the highway would push into tire.
  15. the very first ones were single range 4wd. then the second gen of stompers had dual range.....similar to real BRATS
  16. I prefer using Kbb, especially when buying cars, i find the kbb values are more accurately reflecting the going rates.
  17. we should write up a want list to submit to Subaru of America 2 tow hooks on each end again.....is one. but instead they give us ipod connections.....who cares about tech, give us D/R and FWD switch instead......errrr
