  1. i guess, for long term (summerish), keep me on the list for one with a bad motor. RS or WRX. less than 3500, prefer LOTS less. My 92 SS is rusting away to the land where they all go to in the midwest.
  2. nice. i like the mix of wheels and tires on the Brat. i bet some fun could be had with sloppy shifter fix and some new hubs/axles for front.
  3. that car has been resprayed, at least for sure the area of wheel well area. Also, under hood area is ?pink? I like their Grand National with 9 miles........drool

  5. ej22 non interference and no problems with headgaskets can be had for 100-300. Add a reasel, new t belt, water pump, etc, and your into it for cost of pulling motor and swapping stuff around. No way i would fork out money to fix HG on a car, that, will need the same HG replaced in another 80k your shop is right, there is risk of blowing it again, no matter what the cost, this is the 2.5 we are talking of. always risk, ....you want no risk, get a 2.2 good luck.

  7. after eating taco bell i need more backpressure. sorry, i took this to ot. I too, would think there needs be more than a straight pipe. DudeAbides, really, just a pipe in place of the muffler. I need to check that next time we meet up. Wonder how the Brat would do with a pipe in place of the muffler. Don't want to screw anything up.
  8. i wish the light on m SVX would blink. Instead its solid, which means need to replace module, $$$ I have it out of the car, trying to see if it will reset, but all i keep reading says solid light is doom. Newer modules were fixed, mine looks like it has a revision printed on it, but ...blah
  9. swapparoo....the Roo. I bet the 4door 5spd has lower production numbers by far. I like the Green ones best, as that was the special order color. still looking for a green 5spd 2dr, for my ej22t from my 92 to go into.
  10. check that the fuel line near the pump/filter is not KINkED/collapsed on its self on a bend. .
  11. prices range from 500 needing trannys to about 9000 for like new ones. they are all over too.
  12. Thanks for sharing the pictures. I love that last one. Seems to be a nice one, and even has the oem wheels. Great cars in that last picture, Subaru would be proud of that. bh

  14. can relate. the house i rented in college. had a long park drive spot. i was prarked in it i was 3rd car parked in drive out of 5 spots.. girl downstairs had my CRX towed, cause she said it bloked her way out. we always kept spare keys in the house for this situation. car got released with her paying.
  15. well, they made Brats til 93 for down under, so there are still lots of parts, over the pond.... no surprise parts still there. cheap too.
  16. which pushbar. mine is a oem brushguard push bar, and its mounted on my 4" lifted BRAT.....check out my photobucket but it should not matter, maybe your pushbar is different, but just make some 2" bracket drop bars and it would still be okay. lift it, good luck we are here to help and encourage.
  17. dynamite....jk. Good luck. And the bolts to the torque converter, the heads of the bolt are toward the front of the car, they thread into the TQ. Need to access bolt head from front.
  18. yeah no kidding, happens my BRAT came from CA and i won't need the emission crap. want to make it run like a scalded ape here as well.
