1994 Legacy GT - Repairs & Upgrades, A Build Thread
bheinen74 replied to Red92's topic in Members Rides
i tried a Duplicolor on my old whinestone 94TW, but the duplicolor was too light for it. I still have most of the can left. It is in front of me, T278 Dark Canyon Red. I would give that one a try on a small spot to see how well it goes... The cap is darker than what sprays out and dries, so dont go by the cap. Paint something not from the car, let dry, and sit next to the hood, see how it matches up. -
Lol, lets see the Vw in 10 inches of snow.....spinning wheels and stuck. no comparison.

ok the gunmetal looks better than gold. more subtle and matches window trims, bumper trims etc, the gold looks out of place on these. -

My '92 Landcruiser: Safariwagon-II

Will need to carry backup HID's in a case, cause they will not last long and will burn out at night...that is a real possibility. I would just go with some good Osram bulbs, and add some Hella's for your needed light output. -
Burping the cooling stystem...
bheinen74 replied to BratWarrior's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
You also want to turn the heater temp selector to the hottest setting, this will make certain the Heater core valve is fully open to allow coolant to fill the core too, i think alot of people do forget this and that is how they get air. -
Those are probably just badly manufactured tires....get some good tire brand, good Year, Michelin, Pirelli, BF Goodrich, Uniroyal, Yokkohama etc. Put that Kenda on your list to never get again. Also stay away from Douglas and Fuzion. And yet another, i stay away from anything Firestone/Bridgestone due to the fact they knowingly sold defective tires that blew out and caused deaths.....until they were forced to recall them, it was not their own "good deed" to recall, they were literally forced to or close the company///// so they recalled them and could care less about selling death tires. These Kenda, Douglas, Fuzion are actually reject tires of the other companies that did not pass inspection and tests, that is why they are cheap. Gillette used to make a CRAPPY tire too, don't know if they are still around, but they were known to blow out within the first 20 miles, guaranteed. It is what shoddy dealers used to install on traded in cars so they could easily sell them based on the fact it had NEW TIRES.....
