thanks. You really cannot do anything on a manual except pull the center driveshaft out and seal the rear of the tranny with a plug.......or else find 4 cheap matched tires. They need to measure around the tire with a string within 1/16 to 1/8 inch of each other for roundness. You can get them closer by fudgin air pressure. other options include only driving on mud/gravel/snow/slippery ice, as the drag created by mis-sized tires will not cause damage on those surfaces.

Help with new stereo install
bheinen74 replied to The FNG's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
usually the adapter harnesses have color wrong for yellow and red. meaning usually you need to put yellow wire to red wire, and red wire to yellow wire. I have seen this on over 50 imports where 12V vs ignition it switched on the harness kits.... you have yellow to yellow red to red switch that and have yellow to red and red to yellow simple thing to check are fuse since old radio you had didnt work either also, older subaru used common ground on the speaker leads, meaning you need to run new wire directly from speaker to the headunit. You cannot use existing stock speaker wire on a aftermarket headunit on the old ones cause of the grounding system style. you can stay with the existing stock harness with a stock radio, But since you are going for aftermarket you need to redo some speaker wiring.. In preparation of some bashing, yes i do know how to wire systems. I hit 129.5 DB on a single 12" in former car, of which i wired entirely I used to do this stuff and here is one on a suub -

Value is affected by much more than mileage. Paint condition and rust, no rust, lots of rust, rot Leaks, maintenance records current, timing belt stuff done etc. Tire condition I would pay lots more for low mileage and no rust. I would pay more for high mileage if it has no rust over low mileage with rust. Pictures are what sell cars..kinda like dating....kinda like food, if it looks nasty you aren't going to eat it. Good luck.

Hey I'm new to subaru's and need some help
bheinen74 replied to Asesapie's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Front diff failure is a nice way to put as "transmission failure" to make it sound less severe. It could simply be a font axle has failed, or if in fact the axles are fine, then it has either exploded gears, broken shift fork, etc. But anytime someone lists Subaru with "front diff" failure, its more likely they are easing the terminology for transmission failure internal.... That engine, is not very good to begin with as well, so plan on spending money down the road on it as well. -
EA81 skidpan/brush bar (?) on an Impreza (pics)
bheinen74 replied to Kostamojen's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
or on a 94 legacy sport....i never thought about the chrome bar, i have some of those laying around too. I used existing holes in the car in all 5 mount locations, had to drill 3 holes in the front of the skid, and bend it a little more in a vice to curve the front up. -
yeah until i saw the wire nuts.....holy wire nut spagetti..... you NEED to carry a fire extenguisher.....and need to redo that with a jy harness...
