you pointed out the benefits of the tpms system, I should have explained what it is i don't like about it, that is the ability to easily swap to different rims with snow tires and not get the CEL. Otherwise yes, most people never know they have low tires, and this tells them. I check my tire pressure at every oil change, so i do not need the light. For majority of people they do not check their tire pressures themselves this will help. shawn makes the most sense on here.

Subaru really should include a full size spare same size, the AWD system is too critical. Or for automatic cars, they should include on top of the spare tire, a fuse, with BIG CAUTION LETTERS stating if you ever get a flat, to install the fuse. Subaru lacks to do even simple things like this. donuts are for donut eaters. -wonder how many repair shops see the fuse holder under hood, and it is missing a fuse, so they just put one in....????bet more then you think throw a fuse in there.........

the sounds possibly could be a borked flexplate. before you tear into internals, check the flexplate by inspection, have to separate engine from trans to do so. might be a easy fix if this is it. as for your head swap, dont you want to maintain the non-interference reassurance? if you put in something else, you then create an intereference motor right? ej22t heads can support 300hp the way they are, even more with porting. Its the engine management, injectors, maf, turbo etc that cannot support this in stock form.

not a problem...i may be getting my rusty ss back, and it will be my beater after i hack the rust off and lift it.

This could be to decrease the number of HG problems reported by the consumer. Now only the dealer will really know how warm the engine has been getting, therefor less HG warranty repair cost, and Subaru can finally say they put the ej25 HG problem to bed, with them......or not. Look for the guage to return in future models, enough people are complaining it will return This is just sort of how car manufacturers do things, in the past they went from guage, to idiot lights, back to guage, then back to light only. Cheap end models usually got idiot lights in the 60's higher cost models got clusters. Someday they will return to what most people want.

i had to get the long reach low profile with foot pump 2.5ton jack from harbor freight, since my cars weigh 4200 pounds and one is really low to the ground. It has a nice support platform and i just put a block on it for my BRAT. It was like 150 bucks, this one is long enough to reach the center diff or the front crossmember without a lot of work to get it there. Jacks are pricey, maybe check out sears or Napa they have decent ones you can try out on the floor. http://www.harborfreight.com/2-1-2-half-ton-low-profile-floor-jack-67045.html its cheaper now than when i bought mine, but you have no need for low profile now.....so you have choices more than i had

4x4 block of wood on the jack plate between it and the frame...cost is free if you live close to a construction site ask them for a spare block.

or the ps fluid he dumped in there was what finally did in all the seals, o-rings etc due to not looking at the top of the cap that says what fluid to use. I have seen certain rubbers (seals) totally swell using wrong fluids) or contaminated fluids ruining what it contacts. doesnt the rack have seals too?

BRATS, and for that matter any EA81 do not take kindly to any modification of the front axle angles over the already 1" adjustability struts........ They really are the limiting factor. Now, EA82 axles can take a little more punishment on the angles. That is why not many lift the EA81 in the same manner.......search my friend which its seems you got that info. Sleeving the front axle, well is one way to fix that issue, not really sure how many have even done that, but if you are a pro, it should be doable.

good luck, they are more likely to try and upgrade you to a new car than they would give you some new belts for your old car........ I think its a mandatory oath the salesperson takes when someone comes in to the dealer about a safety issue, scare the heck out of you and tell you HOW much safer the new car is than your old trusty rust bucket which is NOT safe
