  1. I have to dig out the one for my SVX and get a photo later. Had the one for my 92 Legacy Sport Sedan 5mt, but i let it go to the person who bought the car from me last fall. I also picked up window sticker for a gen 1 leg sedan from the junkyard, and also have one from a Ea82 era that i found in jukyard car.
  2. The wheels page shows the rims, without center caps. too bad you didnt get a better pic of the wheel with center cap, so we could update wheels page on the Subarus of the 80's link
  3. are you sure the brights indicator was the problem. When i put Hella European H1 and H4 conversion lights in my BRAT, the same thing happend, brights would not go off. I found the cause was the lights grounding out on the buckets. I used thick vinyl tape on the 4 corners on the back side of the light, to prevent the back of the lens (metal) from grounding on the bucket. never had a problem since then, and the indicator lamp works as it is supposed to. I still have not installed my hella relays yet to take full advantage. subarus use a reverse switch ground system, meaning both wires are hot all the time, unless the switch grounds them.
  4. its missing tow hooks? thats an interesting side to the BRAT most will not see.
  5. moving to the spare tire area is a good choice, but where the spare going?
  6. aww. i found the manufacturer http://www.mattracks.com/ and further search for weight abilities http://www.litefootatv.com/html/tracks_by_vehicle.htm 4 Wheel Drive Utility ATVs Four wheel drive large capacity Utility ATVs (side by sides) and Mini Trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight up to 4200 lbs [1905 kg]. Models - LiteFoot, LiteFoot XT and M3 for ATVs I wonder how an old EA81 Subaru would handle these, for a fairly reasonable price, would this be a good trail rig, even better than going with 28"-31" tires? These trax give a lift on themselves, so you could maybe get by on a stock non lifted rig. ??or ***and the real biggie here: Gear-Reduction 1/3 Increase in Gear Reduction on Vehicle with Typical OEM ATV Tire
  7. Nascar relocates due to excessive heat in the engine compartment, Heat=Bad for battery. otherwise, its a waste of expensive 2 guage cable for a car, and locating under the car is BAD too, batteries are explosive devices, unless you build a cage around it, the underbody is bad idea, think rocks, debris, and punctures, leaking acid out all over. The trunk is the second best place for relocation, best place is under hood, closest to alternator. remember, longer electircal wires, lose some output voltage due to length. the shorter the run of cable from battery to alternator, the more efficient it can charge (kinda like running a toaster or space heater off 5 household extension cords, fire will result. Or like plugging in 100 christmas tree strings end to end) Also, take into fact that you are trying to get the battery out of water situation. A battery is somewhat sealed, it has distilled water, and battery acid in the cells, and lead to react with. That water and liquid inside isnt leaking out, and water on the outside isnt getting in. Don't tip a battery unless you have a dry cell.
  8. why do you think you need a radiator? Did it get smashed and now is spewing coolant? Or are you getting the normal overheating and coolant loss that a blown head gasket EJ25 does?
  9. the only disclosure needed at the sell, or trade, is that you do or don't have receipts for previous headgasket repair on that car. It is a car model and engine that had a 90% failure rate of headgaskets, give or take %, and anyone who is looking at buying or selling it will be wanting evidence directed to previous records. If you have no records of HG repair, expect bottom dollar. If you have records expect more. bottom dollar on a car without the repairs previously made are less than 1500. Please feel free to use the search button, and use EJ25 HG as a search. At 120k, i would say replace BOTH sides of headgaskets and only use OEM from the Subaru dealer gasket, no matter who replaces them. You do NEED to do both sides with this engine at the same time, for any good results. also, the Tbelt, water pump and all pulleys will be needed at the same time, for PROPER longterm results if you keep the car for a few years. if you plan to pass along the plague to others, than, dont spend a dime
  10. my experience with NAPA hatch struts for the rear hatch are about 18 years ago, I bought 2 new ones for my 1991 CRX Si. They lasted exactly less than about 10 months. So, i imagine, what happened then to me, happened now to you. Nothing good about them, and they were pricey even from NAPA.
  11. wheel bearing rear. My parents 06 2.5 i had one go out at 37k miles its under warranty til 100k. due to a service bulletin.
  12. My list so far, bunch of odds and ends. fuel pump, mine still buzzes very annoying Front fender wheel well splash guard liners front mudflaps rear shocks front shocks-if they are the adjustable ones alternator and, BRAT rollbar wheels if not already spoken for, that is what urged me to post my list a few other odd and ends
  13. well, the person selling that on craigs is asking like 3600 for the whole shebang, and alot of the ATV;s have 4x140 bolt pattern hubs, so it may be a direct fit???????
  14. http://cedarrapids.craigslist.org/spo/1590809580.html it could be dne and cheaply for real
  15. there will be a lot of people struggling with mud this year. too much snow to melt off has to flood the dirt roads nicely. I might need to source some swampers, and save up for this event. And yes, McBrat hopefully will go. Yhere will be some Jeep Club of Iowa members here most likely. We need someone like him to help assure we have a way out. This will totally trash the drivetrain, how old is your clutch?. I won a award last year on this event with my Rescue Wagon.
  16. Will attempt to take BRAT this year. It was fun, hope this year there is more mud-there is sure to be mud with all the snow melt. I might put a welded diff in to be smart.
  17. popcorn. starting to see people on the newer boards with 2005, and 2005+ headgasket blowing EJ25's the Baja's of yr 2005 blew them like they were eating candy.
  18. i have a list of things i want from it already
