  1. Do you have a known good OEM thermostat? Good radiator cap?
  2. I have never had good luck doing Subaru o2 sensors. I changed the rear one on my wife's 04 Accord a few weeks ago in 45 minutes. That included removal of the passenger seat to undo the harness.
  3. I agree. I hope you did use the adapter plug. I also think something is wrong with the illumination wire. If you have a factory boost gauge, it taps into it for the lighting.
  4. 85 is considered to be the "best" year for the Brats. Last year for the jump seats and first year for the hydraulic lifters.
  5. Whoa. Turns out my Brat is still on the road too. Got sold again in June of this year. I sold it in August 08.
  6. Bingo. My Felpro valve cover gaskets on my wagon said "made in Japan" on them.
  7. Sounds like you may also need a clutch cable. Make sure and get one from the dealer as the parts store ones are garbage.
  8. Good to hear you changed it back to atf. You're not the first one to make that mistake so don't feel bad.
  9. I can't imagine replacing that cable to be fun. Be glad, my 05 STi doesn't even get a remote trunk release.
  10. 100% agree. They are also especially obnoxious. You have bigger fish to worry about on that motor than making duck noises.
  11. Remember the valve cover gaskets are cork and do not require a ton of torque. Just snug them up or you will be in a world of hurt. Fel-Pro is the best bet.
  12. Just for curiosity, what's the called for torque on the lug nuts?
  13. Correct. I had to retrofit the buckle from the Outback seat onto the wrx one. I expected it since I had the same seats in my old 2.5RS.
  14. I lost interest in this car years ago. It has been a load of media wishy washy hype for the last 6 years. I too, have no need in a coupe, even less need in a RWD.
  15. Jack up the side you want to check. Grab the tire at 12 and 6 o'clock. Check for in and out movement.
  16. I have an 03 WRX seat in my 95 Outback. It does raise you up a good inch or two and have to raise the steering wheel. It was a great price to pay to get rid of that busted rump roast cloth seat that I did have.
