  1. I can only imagine what those seats look like when you take the seat covers off. I love how the dealer sprayed tire cleaner on the spare. I hope you don't over pay on that thing.
  2. Yeah man. The thing everyone does around here is the wingless trunk swap. Honestly, I am not a fan of it and to see an STi actually running around with the correct trunk is a rare sight in itself.
  3. Well, the update for the week. Friend and I have plans to meet a guy in Asheville on Sunday to trade to an STi trunk. Yes, the one with the huge wing. I know, I know. I will catch some flack for the huge wing. I have been in love with the huge scoop, huge wing look since I was 16. Previous owner sent me this picture, consider it a teaser.
  4. Welcome! What do you mean by "showing its age"? At that kind of mileage, has the head gaskets went yet?
  5. I agree. It's not like these cars are super rare. I can throw a rock and hit two of them any day of the week and this is Tennessee.
  6. What I am willing to bet the bulb is: Radioshack part number is #7219 Micro Lamp. Comes in a package of 2. I first experienced the crappy bulb problem on my old 2.5RS when the fog light indicator bulb in the button kicked the bucket. This is a great DIY for anyone with an Impreza with a lot of habit holding true to the Legacy HVAC problem and shows excellent pictures of the bulbs and the leads that are on them. http://www.rs25.com/forums/f105/t127068-diy-hazard-defrost-light-repair.html
  7. I vote paying Logic a visit. Dump that stupid EJ25, let him swap in a 2.2. Repair the drivetrain and drive it till it rusts out. Correct me if I am wrong. Didn't the 96 2.5 call for 93 octane?
  8. Them catering to key demographics and niche marketing has really helped them in the last few years. The LOGO Channel ads. Marketing genius.
  9. I left them off of my Legacy. Got tired of fighting with those stupid things falling off and making it difficult getting the caliper back on around the pads.
  10. I had to do this fix on my 95 OBW when I first bought it. Make sure and take your time with this install as it can be finicky getting it to slide apart so you can reach those bulbs inside the unit.
  11. I'm with Miles, can you not just swap the WRX seats into the car? I had those in my RS and thought they were single handedly the most comfortable Subaru seats. I even prefer them over the seats in my STi.
  12. WRX wheels do so much for the first gen Legacies exterior wise than a lot of other things. I had a set on my 91 and I could not believe how much it improved the handling and the look.
  13. Always loved the first gen Legacy SS's. I have actually only saw one of these running in person around here. Make sure and keep us updated.
  14. Jordan, I feel ya. I still long for my 84 Hatch. The STi, RS, and even my Outback can't compare to the love I had for that thing.
  15. There is a newer gen Outback used here as a postal vehicle setup like you are describing it. Has a pulley on the OE steering column with a belt ran to the other side.
  16. Greetings from Crossville. Always good to see another East Tennessean on here.

  17. Isn't the wiring extremely similar across the model years? I remember my wiring harness adapter working for a lot of Subaru models.
  18. Should have explained that one better: Version 6 STi:
  19. I'm sure you guys have access to a lot cooler stuff than we do. I'm willing to bet you got a couple v6 STi's running around.
  20. I was under the impression that all gen 2 Brats got the 2 piece sliding back glass. Sounds like it was changed at one point.
  21. Some had melted by the time I took that picture but we got close to 8 inches.
  22. It sure was man. Glad you bumped this thing, I just finally dug it out from the snow last night that we got here.
