  1. I noticed that on my 95 Outback yesterday. The whole area above the license plate is just about rusted through. Pretty random rusting place.
  2. The RHD postal wagons were made in Indiana and marketed to the USPS for the rural mail routes.
  3. I'm not. Didn't even have to list it on Craiglist. Selling it to a good friend who is a Subaru salesman. It is going to be his daily driver to and from work. Good friend of mine who is a Subaru mechanic gave me one of those rubber mats that says "Legacy" on them that goes in the cargo area of the wagon.
  4. Well, time has come for me to sell the RS. Hope to be getting rid of her this weekend and driving the Outback till I find the right STi.
  5. Everyone thinks it's funny to watch. It leaks when the weight shifts to the rear and causes the fluid to be pushed out the nozzle. Vehicle is a 95 Outback.
  6. Not those around here. They get snatched up real quick and people use them on their rural mail routes.
  7. GD is correct. I bought a "Made in Japan" waterpump at the Auto Zone for about $40 bucks. Make sure and use black RTV to seal it up. Or just get one from the dealer.
  8. Clearer pictures: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/change-heater-control-lights-95-99-legacy-26408.html?t=26408&highlight=HVAC+bulbs What you need to buy from Radio Shack, these are your bulbs for the HVAC back light, not sure about the AC button.
  9. Awesome, thank you guys. I just now finally got my headlights in my RS pointed where I like them and these are just plain goofy at night.
  10. I've got a Wix on mine as well. I've had good luck running them but will grab an extra filter and a handfull of rings next time I am down there. Nearest dealer is 30 miles from me but it's worth the trip. They know me by name down there as I organized a huge Subaru meet for them last month. http://www.duffsubaru.com/news-and-upcoming-events.htm Pictures from the meet: http://www.mysubie.com/gallery?id=1028
  11. Don't know man. Need to get me a crush ring next time I am at the dealer, got a slight oil drip now.
  12. Check out my single hot red Pleiades's star.
  13. I found where the headlight aiming level bubble is. What do I turn to adjust the headlights up and down and left and right? If anyone has a picture that would be awesome.
  14. Just finished the HVAC bulb repair. What a pain in the a**. Found out why the brakes sucked on this thing: Also buffed some grime off the headlights, hard to tell really in the pictures but you can get the point. Before: After:
  15. Discovered I had these when doing brakes today, not sure if it means anything or not.
  16. It was made in Japan, not America. I think I am onto something on the Outback. Will post a picture of what I discovered earlier.
  17. There is a button snap in the back for the carpet to snap to. It is in the same area as the latch for the rear hatch. Mine was unsnapped and was causing my carpet to slide around like you described. I am in for a break right now. Just got doing brakes all around. I will post a picture later of a certain brake pad, it was gone. After breakfast I am going to head back out to do an oil change and pull the HVAC controls to do the bulbs in behind there. I will following this DIY: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/change-heater-control-lights-95-99-legacy-26408.html?t=26408&highlight=HVAC+bulbs Little tidbit: the bulbs that are used for the Legacy HVAC backlight are the same ones that are used in my RS for the fog light indicator, rear defroster, and the hazard button. Can be purchased at Radio Shack for a $1.50 a pack. #7219 12 volt micro-bulbs.
  18. Been detailing the interior, the stain in the back of the rear seat is now gone. Look at all this room!
  19. So, just change the gear oil pretty much? I don't really want to do the Scotty's Cocktail as I have read a couple places where people have done it and the car started to whine.
