  1. If I had a garage and needed to get that out, I would have just borrowed a couple of space heaters and some extension cord and left it sitting for a while. Was that an option?
  2. I did the exact same thing in my hatchback coming home from a friend's house after a spring rain one day. I had a date and was excited and forgot that the hatch had touchy brakes.
  3. Greetings from Crossville. What specific vacuum hose was leaking?
  4. +1 Go out there and turn the inside fan all the way up, headlights on bright, and windshield wipers on. That will give you plenty of load on the system to do an adequate check. It sounds like you got it worked out though.
  5. I have similar experiences with my Brat. I learned that you can't baby these things or they will walk all over you. You just got to get in and drive it like there is no tomorrow and it will do just fine.
  6. I remember seeing this a few months ago, but still had to watch it again. I still think they went farther out on the US spec Brats than anywhere else in the world.
  7. I plan to attend this May. http://www.rallytennessee.com/2008/
  8. I like the emblem in the center of the trunk, has the 06 year influence there. If you had a good bit of money, the STi 6 speed would be a great fix for the infamous 5MT trannys. Also the 02 STi hood scoop looks awesome on those, see the picture I took of my good friend's. Otherwise, I am jealous. I remember when I was 14 and fell in love with the WR Blue Pearl 02 WRX at the dealer. I am buying one whenever I get done with the higher education endeavors.
  9. Brumby= Brat. In some places such as Australia, New Zealand to name a few called it this.
  10. Look on the bright side, you have a hydraulic lifter motor that don't require valve adjustments. 85 was the last year they did the seats. This is on the top of the page and is an invaluable resource: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/brats/Brats.pdf
  11. Don't put off replacing the alternator or you will end up paying for a tow truck and then doing the replacement.
  12. I had mice eat through my crank sensor not once, but twice! Then I left a bag of Werther's Candy in my Brat and there is still pieces of shredded golden wrappers in there.
  13. Might want to give http://www.nasioc.com a good searching as that is the Impreza hotspot.
  14. If I recall correctly, it addresses this issue in your owner's manual to be normal.
  15. What is that about a 95 Legacy? Yes, I laughed very hard.
  16. I can't wait to hear what one of these sounds like with an opened up exhaust.
  17. Probably be better just to buy that Fiero next to it. If I was to buy it, I would email the guy and tell him to go ahead and take engine and all that crap in the trunk out. Find a good 2.2 and one will be set.
  18. Jordan, looks good. Also looks like your regular OEM headlights are in really good shape. You got in day time pics?
  19. I wondered that for awhile myself, when I took a more in depth look at my Weber setup; I found it to be disconnected and removed it and made for a good tarp weight for the parts Brat.
  20. Go and make sure there is a belt running to your A/C unit for starts. Its under your hood and will be to the right of the alternator. Then we can go from there.
  21. Guess I am just gonna start seeing about finding another hub and rotor assembly. I will give the dust shield a third look sometime this weekend. Thanks guys.
  22. Carfreak85, my thought is that Subaru heard alot of complaints about the standing out look of their STi's when it came to law enforcement officials is my idea for them bringing it back a few dozen notches. Give me an 05 GD STi in blue with gold and I will be set for life.
  23. Ive got almost 218K on motor and tranny. Tranny is slipping a bit but motor still has a ton of life even though it leaks a little oil, hell, don't they all?
