  1. +1 to swapping vin's. What if it doesnt have the standard 17 digit vin? Being an 81, it should have it.
  2. Don't know if it is all the biology I have been reading, but that looks like a massive X chromosome. Skip, how does it sound?
  3. I would really like to see a similar work done for this board. I would be happy to do a "Cribs" spoof of my own.
  4. That is a pretty crazy rig, would love to hear what that would sound like.
  5. I too know the pain of Brat neglect. Here is a thread of mine from last year when I purchased my parts Brat: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=70957&highlight=yet+another+purchase I am making plans to pull the motor and tranny when the weather starts to become more attractive.
  6. I am still thrilled out it Zap! I have had mixed experiences with every junkyard around me and this was the first one that I had been to that I was welcomed with "open arms" (to quote a famous Journey song). Most people around here don't usually deal in them, its usually the big 3 American ones and alot of old D series Honda crap.
  7. I will consider that brand whenever I plan to upgrade mine. My buddy has been running with the idea of upgrading his WRX to STi brakes. When he upgrades, I get hand-me-down's.
  8. Granted it saves space, I never did like the idea of stacking cars.
  9. This place is pretty cheap service wise too. I just called and asked what he would charge for timing belt change for my Legacy and it was $289, compared to the $500+ the dealer quoted me. Looks like I am going to be making another trip here soon. I asked if he had been busy, said he was doing 2 headgasket jobs at once. Thats right, both on EJ25's.
  10. Give the home office a call. Even if they tell you the same thing as in the above post; it is likely they will send you a gift card or something to keep you happy.
  11. That is pretty cool setup for the climate controls. Holy crap! An analog clock, I got digital son. Are the idiot lights on the dash the same as what we got, would like to see some more pics.
  12. Zygote stages! Good grief man how long you been working with a microscope?
  13. You better get a video of that thing and let us hear it.
  14. Maybe something to do with A/C. My 2 non-turbo, non-A/C EA81's does not have that looking part. While my A/C having hatchback has a similar relay that close to the fusible link box. Just a thought.
  15. You ever make one of them movies about this place, Miles, that will be the tag line.
  16. Looks like some kind of chain setup one would see in a toilet tank. If it works...
  17. I think Subaru_dude went to the one in newport last week. If it is the one I am thinking of, it has a turbo brat there.
  18. Indeed, it was. I anticipated the day to be spent going back and forth with a piece of sandpaper as I had asked Josh(Legacy777) for advice about grit. I removed them so I could cover every possible angle. The kit is like 10 bucks and is worth every bit of it; all one needs is a good power drill. If headlights are removed, it's best to have a friend hold the headlights while going over them with the drill to keep them from moving all over the place. Glad you guys liked it. Kyle
  19. You got it backwards. The dogs stay out, you just have to hook the leash back up.
  20. A roof rack and you and "The Loyale" will have matching loyales.
