  1. thanks everyone for your suggestions I went to Made in Japan in Campbell. They could not find the leak but they said it is burning coolant and I need to replace the head gasket. It sounds expensive anyhow. boohoo
  2. Can anyone recommend a mechanic for the San Jose, CA area? I don't want to go to a 'stealership' and my mechanic in Santa Cruz is sort of far. He was awesome. He even cleaned out a mouse nest on my Justy and all the decaptitae mouse babies. But I digress. So I need a mechanic in San Jose. Please help. My 1999 Legacy Outback wagon is leaking. Big surprise, huh? In addition to the normal oil leaks, the coolant is leaking very badly and leaving a trail of coolant everywhere I go. Also the car is shaking really bad whenever I use the brakes. Thanks in advance
  3. Hello Justy Owners and Fans I would like to start a Subaru Justy Club. Please email Justy.Club@gmail.com and I will add your name to the roster. Also please tell me about your Justy and its history. Eventually I will have a website to post the photos and stories for each member. Or just post on this thread. So good! I will start. My Justy is called Little Sue. She is a white, 1991 Justy GL with ECVT. She is not always a happy camper, but she tries hard. She does not like baths, but I try to wash her anyway. Her ignition switch died awhile ago, so she had somewhat invasive surgery and we installed a push-button start. Little Sue does not like Volkswagens. She really does not like them, I don't know why. Whenever we have to park next to one, she lashes out and tries to bite them. She bit me once because I tried to sell her. I think she may have been abused in the past - her frame is a bit dented, perhaps from a crowbar. The CarFax report does not indicate any problems. Anyway, we have worked out our differences. Little Sue and I are a great team. She has over 100K and still running strong. We use to have a lot of fun on the mountain roads. She can really zip and is quite nimble on her toes. She has two adopted brothers - Dig Dug, my Subaru wagon, and Alex (Alejandro Von Trapper Keeper), a Snaab. Together they are quite a happy family. ------ If we end up being near eachother, maybe we can even have a Justy Parade!! Wouldn't that be the best?
