  4. There is some way to chack that the timing belt is in good condition? i buy recently a legacy of 1997 2.2, and have 107.000 km. and i don´t know if timing belt is the original or new. in the dealer, don´t know, and i need to know if Timing belt is in good condition, because the change is very expensive (500$) Thanks.
  5. How do you Know exactly what is the problem? my 1997 legacy, have a very little oil leaks, but the engine don´t have a leaks, and steering pump don´t too. transmision maybe the problem. timing belt-oil.... i don´t understand the relation.. 9. Yes thats right, the long of a 1990 is 135 cm. and in 1995 is 140-145 cm... thanks for all...
  10. Someone can tell me what size is the cargo cover of the first photo, model year 1991-1995. If someone have one.... thanks for all. I look in a cars graveyard....:-\ regards.
  11. I Know that the forester have the traction in 4 weels, and is permanent, 50% in front and 50% in rear AL THE TIME. But in the owners manual of legacy, i read that the AWD isn´t permanent, normally is FWD, and when is neccesary it converts to AWD. I think all subarus have the AWD permanet, and this is the reason for the good results, compare with volvo cross country and similar. (the Outback is better than volvo in hard conditions...) And outback? is like forester or like normal legacy?
  12. Did you know if the "buttons-symbols" that are marken in green have light at night?
  13. Today i do a long travel, and the cel don´t light, i think the reset was the solution. Thanks all.
  14. Thanks very much, why is important run the engine (with the car stopped) for 15 minutes? when i connect this morning i drive 10 minutes to work and all OK. Thanks again!
  15. Sorry i forget to answer.... What is "canister purge valve" in Spanish.. or where is located?, or what is his function? and where is the obdII conector in my car? under the steering weel?
  16. Well, connecting the ecu, the problem is "temperature of motor" and "slow motion" that says the mechanic, the mechanic says that it did not remember the code numbers... The mechanic says that it is not connector OBDII in my 1997 legacy, say that it have a special conector for subaru... I do not understand anything... And finally the mechanic says that is not relevant... and i have to pay 30 euros for this.... i am thinking to buy a OBDII. This night i disconnect the batery all night, i hope this resolve my problem...
  17. Thanks, the battery seems to be Ok, the car is very good condition, have 107.000 Km. when i read the codes i post it. Thanks again.
  18. Hi! i´m from Spain, and i just buy a legacy 2.2 1997, all Ok. But when give me the car, the positive cable of the battery isn´t tighten, and one day later i see this problem, because the car go off... the problem is that the check engine light goes on when i running some miles, and goes off 2-10 minutes later. the engine and car is all ok. Can be a resset problem, or sounds more a MAF problem. Sorry for my english, and regards.
