  1. You'd have to go through a nasty certification process over here for that type of thing, tad expensive. I look forward to seeing this legacy.
  2. *************** thats nasty! I don't blame you for driving it into the ground. One question though. Does it still feel safe after all that?
  3. Then you just need to make more boosts to melt the ice... I kiid I kiid. *fanticises*
  4. That has been removed, and is ok i think. I can guaruntee it. It is some kind of fake wood colour I think. That is all.
  5. Well we all know how much slower these babys move with a few passengers, so I hate to think what the usdm ones were like with a few tree huggers permanantly riding *shotgun*
  6. My definition of 'rice burner' would have been something that 'burnt-rice'. eg.. The opposite of rice. Muscle car and whatnot. But thats just me. I do like the 'idea' of aftermarket taillights, depends on what they look like though.
  7. But the new holden commdores are 6 litre....I don't have any figures to back myself up, (so will be happily corrected), but compared to many other smaller motors. I doubt the horsepower to engine size-ratio thingee-ma-bob is very astounding. That said, I heart my pushrods. Just wish there were some more valves.
  8. SHAZOOOM! Yeh tis purdy cooool. 2 Boost things, that needle moves hellva fast... Needle range not big enough though. Overall--I give it two grins:grin:, a banana:banana: and a rock on:headbang: Wheras RX = A few ordinary smiles:) Nice car:D
  9. What is this CIS system you all talk of? Excuse my ignorance..
  10. That thing looks goooooooooood! Mmmmmm A little something to aim for!
  11. Brat Drivers--(right hand) Door About 43inches/110cm. Measured on the outside, along the 'styling' line just below the latch and door lock barrel. Hope it helps!
  12. Thanks for the quick replies guys, I put in the alt from the ea81 parts wagon I've got and everything started to act normally, voltage at idle at about 13.8v and was rising slowly, recovering from kinda flat battery near the end of the ordeal (11.Xv)I guess. The thing I still don't understand is the way the charge lights were all lit up, then went out all of a sudden, and wouldn't come back on, With the engine off and ignition on, charge lights all off- Not normal right? With belt taken off (dodgy) alt and engine running, still no lights. But all is well now, I will tag that alternator as not good. Maybe paint it up/rebuild when I get some more money.. Thanks all!
  13. Car is a 1987(.5?) Omega 'RX' EA82T 3 door coupe. Ok, so I jumped in the RX to head home from 'work' and the charge lights stayed on after start up, and dimmed but didn't go out when rpm's increased... Lights are the charge one, the brake fluid one, and the stop light one, all normally come on at start up and go away once the alt is charging right? Odd says me. Got my hands on a volt meter, battery showed 13ish volts with engine off, and 13.5v with engine running/revving, charge lights still on dimly(sp?) So I say ok I'd better head home, and quick... No going out tonight.. Then about 10mins of driving later, the lights all go out, I pull a u-turn and head to a friends, use multimeter, voltage spiking to 16v when revved:-\. Didn't use the car untill late that evening when I drove home. Now I've got another alternator to stick in it, Slightly different model number, off an ea81 wagon, but has internal regulator. But the weird thing is that none of the charge lights are coming on anymore, at all... Even with the engine running and the alternator removed:confused: Is it possible that those bulbs were blown by the high voltage? Or what is fried? If anyone could shed some light on the system for me and what could cause this it'd be very appreciated thank you! John
  14. I think a meet would be a pretty cool idea. Where is the most central point in this strange land? http://www.oldschool.co.nz were planning a meet in Taupo Early next year I think, although thats pretty far to go for the south island people, mm I dunno it sure is a cool idea though, just need to set a time and place I suppose. I'm a bit limited to how far I can go atm, still living off my parents for the most part... Although I intend to work my rump roast off through the summer somewhere, and should be employed fulltime next year. Anywhere but pizza hut again..
  15. You south island people get aallll the cool deals....
  16. Hot piss! I like it! Is that an aeroplane on the front? It seriously looks helluva good though.
  17. So was it just the genuine RX's that didn't have shoulder belts in the back? Cause my 'Omega RX' and my sisters Omega GL both have them... I've got those same vinel/cloth seats in mine, they are nice.. I reeeeaallly want the genuine RX ground effects and spoilers, that stuff is hawt! For the parts car, out of curiousity, if you don't mind too much, what kind of money would that have been over there?

  19. Ok, so I've lost a piece of trim/moulding thing off the front of the RX, and can get another from a wagon pretty easily as they are fairly common, but the 3 door coupes are not. I am wondering if they are all the same. Its the bit on the front left fender. You guys driver side. Goes between front bumper and wheel arch. I think its attached with clips... Well thats all thats left anyway. Black with gold stripe You can see what I'm talkin about hopefully. So I've heard the fenders aren't interchangable with rx to anything else, but what about the trim?
  20. So I'm not going to blow up the rx's box by jumping between high and low all the time, and at any speed? Because I reeeaally don't want to damage it. Do these gears have syncros?
