I don't think so. Not much fits on the 13'..... Though from what I've heard snow tyres come pretty small. Someone might beable to answer that, I say look on the manufacturers website or something though.

ej22 disty and carb pics i found
waimaks replied to LPGsuperchargedBrumby's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
Sorry to bring this back from the dead but, this idea has really got me thinking. Imagine how much easier would the EJ swap be if you could just bolt a carb and disty etc onto your EJ22. Because the way I saw it, the most difficult bit of the swap was the wiring...... At the moment I'm just bouncing ideas round in my head. So the rest might not make much sence... Carbed EJ22T? In a Vortex?? Or any other L Series Subaru etc...... What is the story with turbos and carbs? Even just a Carbed ej22. Sure it would be a bit more gutless than the FI one, and I'm thinking the ej18 carb would be slightly restrictive, but if you could get a higher flowing carb, exhaust etc, You could have a helluva simple, fairly high hp, old gen vehicle right? Or am I just completely wrong? I hope not because I like this idea.... Any suggestions or details I am missing would be coool. Thanks all! -

EJ18 Carb
waimaks replied to waimaks's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVX
Ok, thats interesting. Will help a bit with the search for parts. Thanks:). I like Subaru legos:) -
Ok, I've got a friend with an 89 Legacy. Its got an Carbed EJ18, and the ever fun Dual range AWD. But anyway, he had been telling me it had been running rough and nearly dieing at cold. I sort of thought it might have been something to do with the auto choke or coolant temp sensor (do these even have one of those?) He reakons its been getting worse lately, running rough all the time and backfiring down hills etc. A mechanic took a quick look at it for him and he now says that his carb is just fawked pretty much.... Anyway, a search has pretty much told me that carbed ej18s aren't common I think? Any info on these things would be cool. At the moment hes thinking of just replacing it with a carb from the wreckers. Thanks in Advance!

No No, Hes at the South most point of the North island...... -
I find this debate interesting. I myself would have rather seen a new more 'Bratty' Brat, And don't know exactly what to think of the Baja. This thread makes me wonder what is in the future for the Holden crewman though. It is awefully Baja like and it seems to be selling really well over here. Actually, now that I think of it, I don't think they sell Bajas over here.... http://www.nextcar.com.au/i.holden.crewman.03oct.jpg [/url]http://www.drive.subaru.com/Fall02/Fall02_News/Baja.jpg ?
