I'm no expert, but I'd be worried about not having the valve grooves in the top, and the longer skirt on teh bottom. Someone else on here will have a more definate answer though. Hope you kept your receipt cause Id be taking them back. -

Wow, thats really interesting, President Reagan drove a Brat! Wasn't he the actor? The only reason I know anything of him is because of the 'Back to the Future' Trilogy. Woo go Subaru! -
Well my subaru isn't lifted, but other people that aren't have posted here so I will too, and it is my hobby. Most of my friends don't have cars so they all think its awesome, and the ones that do have cars all own little wannabe ricers with cut springs etc. I can't remember the number of times idiots have told me to 'turn the leaves upside down and put some bling on there','it'll be gangsta.' Meh, I guess I've always been a little different.

Ok cool, Make sure you take lots of photos!

I've only had my '81 Brat for two months or so... Its awesome. Now I just need a job to kickstart the addiction...

Ouch, Structural damage?

How rare are the Tonneau covers or lids? I havn't seen any, only canopys. I think one of these with the little louvers and everything would be sweet. Hard Tonneau or even just a simple soft tonneau? Soft Tonneau Yeah, just wondering on how often people come across these things. I probably won't ever find one over here.

Wouldn't a left hand drive one be better for in the states? -
Is it possible to use an ea82 tranny on the 6? Would beat the auto. Just a thought...get both and mix and match, however possible that is.

Hehe, very nice, practically identical to my one. Black steels aye, don't look half bad. I might have to copy you on that one.

Ohk, cool, 4-4.5k seems about as far as I would take it ever. Thanks for the advice.

Well I wired it all up, seems to go well, Its on the same fuse as the indicators. Now, where to mark the redline....6ooo?
-
Just another quick question...Which circuit should I tap into for a tachometer, I assume something that is only live when the Ignition is ON. Would the other powered gauges (fuel gauge?) be very easy to tap into? The car is an 81 Brat. RH Drive Any suggestions would be nice.

This is all reasuring to me aswell, as my Brat sounds slightly overrevved at 100+k's...yay. go subaru! -
Ok, thanks, and I meant right side:-p . It seems to keep pumping at a fairly constant speed all the time, instead of slowing up once its built up pressure, I havn't noticed any leaks etc anywhere, no drips anyway. Thanks for that though, was just wondering what the case was, whether or not it was supposed to pump constantly. JohnB
