This is the first issue of this magasine I think. And is produced in the US. I am considering breaking budget to subscribe yay. -

Its a little hard to find any dualcarb manifolds overhere, but they are around. I am undecided as to which engine to go with, for now the ea71 is fine, but I have a few spare ea81's. -

Yeah, ultimately I would like a dualcarb anything in there. I may look into custom manifolds though I'm undecided. -
Also...

Thats cool, I think they're quite low geared too. ~4000rpm at 100km/h 60mph How does that compare with other 1400 powered Soobs?

Hi Mike. There are one or two threads kicking around for the GSR. At the moment its in the process of being brought back to roadworthyness/legality. I don't know a whole lot about it to be honest, supposed to be rocking an ea63 dualcarbed 1400. Has boosted brakes with disc front end, not sure how else it varies from the usual 1400 Subaru series. Mine has been repowered with a single carbed ea71 (1600). I am looking into ea81 (1800) possible powerplants, transaxle where I'm stuck right now. Just found out the other day. It has an audible *beep* from under the dash when you exceed around 115km/h. It appears to have a bit more gadgetry than the normal ones too I think. -
Didn't step out of 3rd, 120km/h. That said, we weren't running the full track. With some more power and grip she'd be a quite a go-er on the track. Perhaps with the gsr.

I did. I'm trying to track down some more pictures but here are what I've got so far. There were some neet cars there. I was the only Subaru.

Heh how long you gonna be over for man? I spent yesterday fanging round Taupo track in mine. It was funny. Also, how is the land of plenty treating you and whatnot?

I have a feeling there is a difference in the front crossmember and perhaps the gearbox crossmember to accomidate the different setup... Someone must know 100% I'd like to know too.

Short how short? Replacing studs isn't all too hard.

Here are one or two (read:lots) of my own cars to kick things off.. -
Alright, I like to look at nice pictures of Gen 1's etc as much as the next guy, and its always good to have a bit of inspiration now and then too. Sooo... Be them pictures of nice gen 1's or nice (artsy I suppose I'd call them) pictures of not so nice Gen 1's. Just whatever appeals and you'd like to share. As you know, information and things can be hard to find on these cars. Any things from magasine articles or advertising from back in the day to all the rest. Think of this as the random Gen 1 pictures thread. Anything goes (with reason). As long as this is ok with the mods. I for one will be linking pics externally if that is a problem...

Looks like an EA82T header, minus the uppipe onwards.

From the look of the blog he's looking at an ea71 second gen leone for its 5 speed box or something. That was about 12 months ago though.

Sometimes I wish I read Japanese... It looks like this one for sale http://page5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e74177473http://img.blogs.yahoo.co.jp/ybi/1/aa/bf/ultimatetarga/folder/852496/img_852496_12623985_3?1190929959 Is the same car as in the blog. I would link the pictures from the blog but its being difficult. I can re-upload them if anyone wants. Some nice higher resolution ones.

I hope those of us overseas can view the ad. hint hint -
I purchased a set of wheels this weekend, superlite style, no obvious markings or brandings but subaru centrecaps. 13-(I'm guessing 5.5-6ish) There are some on the wheels page but they're slightly different so I'd thought I'd chuck these up, they don't use the normal tapered wheel nut either.
