  1. All WRX rims will fit. 05+ STI rims will not, but 04 STI rims will. All rims from the Legacy, Impreza (except the aforementioned), and Forester will work as well. Tribeca wheels will not and neither will SVX wheels.
  2. Phil sold his car...and it's making a bit more now.... http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?p=207090&highlight=#207090
  3. It has been done better. A guy with a ABM 94 SS has a 18 or 20g on an EJ22T making 401 awhp with a dogbox.
  4. I doubt that your Impreza has the 4EAT, therefore things would be a lot different between technology from ten years ago and now.
  5. I always thought it was just that the first HG's were poorly designed and caused problems in 10 - 15% of cars equipped with the DOHC 2.5.
  6. I paid $120. $60 for the axle (Remanufactured with lifetime warranty) and $60 for the labor. It should be right around there per axle depending on the axle you get (OEM or Reman) and the price/hour of labor. Any particular reason you're positive it's the CV's and not something else?
  7. Overrated? No. Overpriced: Yes. These blocks stock can take 400AWHP.
  8. It's an easy swap. Josh did it without any major hitches. It doesn't require extra fabbing, just parts and electronics...and even then, most of the time it's just doing some wires for the Turbo ECU.
  9. Shot in the dark says Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF). My car did similar things when it was going.
  10. The Subaru numbers are wrong. There are more than 788 Legacy Turbo's and 15 5MT SS's. Check out http://bbs.legacycentral.org
  11. I would say that you're good to go then. Any person smart enough to put in a 5MT with a Touring/Turbo Wagon knew about the car and how it works so they've probably taken care of it.
  12. I'm actually getting ready to work on setting my car up with wireless entry. I picked up an actuator on ebay about 2 months ago and it's just been sitting until it gets warm.
  13. Then take the car and get it fixed properly. Many people have told you in this thread and the billion others you've made about the EXACT SAME THING to take the car back and get the transmission replaced. If the first shop did it wrong, get your money back and take it to the Subaru dealership so they can screw you out of your own money but at least it'll be fixed correctly! This should not be a reoccurring issue. The transmission needs replaced again. It was done wrong the first time. Numerous people have confirmed it and even the screwy shop you took it to said they screwed up!
  14. They told me that was only valid for 95 and newer vehicles. I understand that it's limited and if my car were newer, I'm sure that it would be covered (the tag is what's torn on it).
  15. It's normal for the lights to not work unless the key is the on position. It's to keep you from doing something not smart such as leaving the lights on and draining your battery.
  16. Yes, there's more parts than I mentioned that can be interchanged. I'm not exactly an engine man so I can't say what can and can't. Usually, we follow the rule that Subaru's are like Lego's - everything swaps.
  17. Depends on what engine is in them. If the Impreza has the EJ18, then they're basically two different engines (with some interchangeable parts like some sensors). If they're both EJ22's then a lot more things would be swappable.
  18. But it is true! The belt isn't covered under a lifetime warranty. At least, that's what the clowns at Cumberland Valley Motors told me.
  19. You're still towing around differential anyways. I can't imagine that removing the rear axles would save you more than 20-25 lb.
  20. I didn't say the block wasn't good for it, but you need to do something about the compression ratio in order to boost well.
  21. Engine swap to the EJ22T. Don't bother TC'ing a NA block...it's not worth it.
  22. It's not. Only the cars made after 1995 are guaranteed the lifetime warranty. Trust me, I asked. Then they tried to slap me with a $400 repair bill for the belt and I said hell no.
