Leeroy did you buy the GSR at seaford that was on ebay last week, I looked at it on the last day of bidding, was dissapointed that it didnt ave the original motor. The guy also said his son has a 1400 gft with he twin carb and 5 speed. I hadnt seen it but asked if i could have first refusal if he ever sells it. Cheers Thierry -

wheels from the ea81 cars should fit, they have less back space, the H wheel were from that model from memory. Cheers Thierry -

But in saying it could of slipped pass me with out my knowing. SUB4 from NZ make 4 port heads for the ea81 for aircraft use.http://www.autoflight.co.nz/dominator/engine-1.jpg Cheers Thierry

Is this worth worrying about? Fix? Replace?
maudsland replied to moosens's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
the dipstick tube should just press out and replace with another one no problems. that is if you want a dip stick Thierry -

Kosta, i see a couple of threaded fitting above the exhaust ports, would it be possible there is a weep into the water jacket because of them, try blanking the exhaust flange and pressure test that fitting and see if it leeks into the water jacket Cheers Thierry -

I a puting it down to a crack in the head around the exhaust jacket/port. I cant think of any conection between the water and the exhaust like the inlet. so from what you are saying if that cylinder is at top dead centre both valves are closed and water is running out of the exhaust, and if the exhaust is open it floods the cylinder.does the water pour out or just drip from the exhaust Cheers Thierry -
