  1. a bit of an update.. i got bored and brought the front up 2.5ish inches to kinda level it out with the back.. -Justin
  2. Well, i finally got around to getting gas. got 22.7 out of it. I cant say that was an accurate reading because i went up some mountain road and had a bit of highway. a video attached ;-) yea, i'm a dork.. https://www.facebook.com/video/embed?video_id=10152899622860727 Not to jinx it but usually this happens. I get great milage then it shoots down. i'll post at my next fillup.. probably wednesday or so. -Justin
  3. *giggle* i know. though, before I realized it was so bright, i had thought about maybe tinting the plastic going for that "new-age" dark look. here's how it turned out looking like -Justin
  4. lol I did.. it didnt change it much. -Justin
  5. yea. Actually. I just went out and looked. HOLY CRAP! -Justin
  6. I think, that both (at least the D/S) manifold gaskets are new within the last year. maybe i should look at that too. maybe tighten up or get new bolts -Justin
  7. thats what i thought. I'm pretty sure its solid cat-front. I might have to poke my head back under there... when its not snowing that is :-/ -Justin
  8. well, my first thought is: WRX seats, IcanHasPlease? my current impreza seat is hurting my leg :-/ my second thought is: I have a '95 Impreza and not a day (quite literally, my wife makes fun of me) goes by that i dont miss my '88 wagon. Maybe its what we grew up with, maybe its what we know/love, maybe its the simplicity. You arent the only one thinking the same thing. I like the new age cars but always loved my old one -Justin
  9. good to note. as for leaks. I might just have to grab a new gasket for the cat-back flange. I did kinda have to make-shift it to quiet it down. I didn't think that a slight leak would make *that* much of a deal. I'm thinking maybe MAF or O2, if i stomp on the gas, the fuel gauge drops. It drives kinda sluggish.. unless i just need a clean air filter and i'm just retarded?? -Justin
  10. no leaks that i can see/hear. The car at one point did have the manifold not attached to the heads; when i bought the car a year ago. Nothing now, that i can tell, and I've been crawling under there listening for leaks with the new exhaust. The only thing i can think of is the flange after the cat, the bolts broke off after i installed the new pipe. I fixed the gasket and installed new bolts. I disconnected the battery for about 30 min on sunday. hopefully that'll help clear the A/F mixture settings? It does feel a bit sluggish though. I wasnt able to pull the MAF off to clean it. Though, i didnt try too hard since i dont have any brake cleaner to clean it with. -Justin

    SCHWING!!! -Justin
  12. My last 3 fill ups show the decline.. https://www.fuelly.com/driver/crazyman03/impreza?fu=4187199 -Justin
  13. I thought that the ecu on the 95 ej22s didn't retain that? That it cleared air/fuel at each shutdown? I must be mistaken? Oh we'll, it's worth a try. -Justin
  14. I also noticed that when I install new air filters, I get awesome mileage for the first fillup like 24+ then it goes down again to 20-22ish. Now that its saying 18 it got me wondering.. Rear O2? Maybe -Justin
  15. So I installed 2.5" cat back with a new muffler and I'm getting about 18mpg now, down from 22ish. Is this right? I had a similar setup on another impy and it didn't really change the mpgs.. Made it better actually. Ideas? I don't have a CEL or anything.. -Justin
  16. Not as often as I'd like.. I mostly find what I can while I'm on the road haha! -Justin
  17. Welcome! I live in the Lakewood/Golden area and drive a '95 impreza lifted 3". I drive as a xerox repairman so my car is all over Denver,Lakewood,Littleton, aurora, greenwood village,Blackhawk,...,Colorado lol -Justin

how is the power to the coil? -Justin
  19. dang! wish my welds looked that good! haha! I imagine my technique would be better if i welded more - Meh :-/ Anyway, got back under there to patch up a few leaks that i saw earlier. Some condensation was leaking through the welds. I also got the muffler to go up a bit higher and painted the exhaust black - maybe it would bug me less if i didnt see it so easy. I think i like it more.. vid before i did the work today. JusZek asked for it -Justin
  20. I was trying for a bit tucked up but somewhere between the tack welds and pulling it down to finish it kinda shifted. That, and it already kinda sat funky up there. the angle going under the axles was kinda weird and would've rubbed. I might pull it back down and attempt to bend the angle a bit and see where that gets me. I also dont like the stupid angle that most 'roo's (and stupid hondas) do with it all cocked upword. Granted, i dont have a fart can.. but still not fond of being able to see the muffler. -Justin
  21. i just installed a IMCO 40-series performance exhaust. about 40 bucks-shipped. I welded it in myself. either do it yourself or have a shop do it. Here in denver there are a couple cheap shops. buddy of mine had his jeep grand Cherokee Cat-back done with a flowmaster 40 for 250 parts and labor included. -Justin
  22. I dont know what i think of the tail-end. I never did like being able to see a muffler. thoughts? It is very quiet in the cab now.. a much nicer rumble with the 2.5" pipe -Justin
