Ok, a bit more time to post now. Here's kinda how it went in order.. quick mockup on the ground Up on the car, right before tacking the welds and finishing it up, no, the bundgee coard is NOT sticking around, i did install a hanger - top left where the OE one would be ;-) after it all: -Justin

'95 Impreza - 2.2NA, Automatic. For a while now, I get a really random Cylinder 2 Misfire.. it just comes and goes as it pleases. I thought it might be timing belt related, so replaced the timing belt, new pullys, water pump. It still comes at random times? Before anyone asks, Yes, the misfire occured with everything "stock". New Plugs, wires, (OEM) air filter. Nothing special. Any ideas? When it pops up, I'm usually on the highway - runs pretty sputtery that you can hear it in the exhaust then boom, CEL. Couple 30 seconds later the sputting goes away and drives like normal. After plugging it in I only get a Cyl 2 missfire code. I can clear it, and it wont come back for another 2, 4 8 months or so. doesnt matter how i drive it. Conservatively, Bat-outta-heck, Hillbilly hand shift, doesn't matter. -Justin

Oh, and as far as the BOV, I had hoped to find a turbo block to drop in there but nothing so far :-/ though, a Back-side turbo did tickle my fancy.. -Justin

I'm going to do it up myself. I'm debating on where i want to position the muffler. Naturally, I'd put it behind the axles at the tail but i want a bit of a resonance with it. Though, with 2.5" going up to it, it might just have enough on its own -Justin

My hammer.. -Justin

Yea, I've actually had a car come down on me - NOT fun. Luckily I was just working on some axles. I had the car on jack stands and one of them slid out of its lock and fell all the way down to home. A hammer saved my leg.. and held the bit of my car up long enough for me to jump out of the way. Bent the crap out of the hammer lol I got a picture around here somewhere of it.. Still have the hammer too! -Justin

+1 on timing or even timing belt related. at least double check it to be sure you aren't chasing your tail with the problem. After a quick search: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/123217-ea82-timing-belt-change/ -Justin -

Any more update? -Justin

got the struts in.. It sits at about where i was with my spacers in. I did have to do some modification on the rear towers since i didnt keep my top-hats but here's the difference with struts compared. Stock Impreza with my spacers on Left, '99 Outback sturts on right: How i sat on stock Impreza struts with 2.5" spacers (measuring the rear) ~ 7.5" With '99 OBW Struts (measuring the rear) about 8.5"! -Justin

Not much progress today on the car. I went to the bone yard yesterday and picked up some new struts for it. My D/S Front was dribbling down the road so it needed to be replaced. I found a donor '99 Outback with about 160k on it. a lot of miles sure but hey, less than what i have on the car now. The outback struts should give me about a 2" lift over what they are sitting at now, which means i can take my spacers out and get about the same ride height. Though, I'm debating on if i want to put the spacers on the new struts and bump it up more.. I'll have to look at the axles to see how bad it'll be.. -Justin

Well, I'm not running any different at the moment and dont run with the HID's on during the day like i would normally. My fuel economy and engine tone hasn't changed (yes, I do actually know the tone of how it runs). I'm not saying bogus though, I still have the old lights just in case. As far as blinding, I do know about the effects of the HID's and needing adjustment. I, for now at least, tapped off my lights to cut a horizon in, and have adjusted my lights for that reason. Seems alright so far.. -Justin

I like 'em though.. I think its just a tad step up from the EA Loyale/GL i had.. -Justin

Yea, the wife has been a bit homesick and wants to move down there. No leads yet.. still looking that EA is going to sound sick with that WRX exhaust. nice and low growling. any more pictures of the ride? how about this for a blast? -Justin

I like the EA's too. I might be joining ya down there in Jacksonville again this year. Maybe for a more extended visit with a job.. so i'll feel your pain.. -Justin
