  1. Phone didn't ring from this post either. Must have been muddy. Well if I'm not busy replying to myself I'll fetch a tranny somewhere.
  2. Online they show 10 Legacy wagons from 1991-94 Going to call but still won't fully trust whoever I speak to there.
  3. I will try to get an answer by phone but you know how talented they are on the other end. Thanks for any local. With gas so high and time so thin a report makes or breaks the deal. Would be great to see folks but family activity is plentiful.
  4. Yup , check the first post of the purchase thread for details. Never heard back from you on a PM about those 1600 parts 'n stuff that guy dropped off. No biggie , just curious what's left. Also , let me know if you'll be in CT anytime again.
  5. Looking for a report from a local or passerby. Need a FWD tranny for my '92 Legacy 2.2 Front Wheel Drive - sorry to repeat. Hoping to run down this weekend. Sale starts TODAY thru Saturday.
  6. At work using Phone. Check original order post info in Post one. Also check vintagesubaru.com for the gasket info. Not so sure about that working on clamshell.

  8. You guys smoke too much , thanks anyways. gen one means 1972-79 here in the USA Have a blast over there. Trade places for a month or so ??? Lol
  9. Also have post in general wanted forum. For my 78 4WD wagon but can be any manual box I'm pretty sure. Thanks
  10. Haven't had contact in a few years I think. He'd be 85 now. Great guy, can't say that enough. He lives frugally when teaching taking advantage of free or reduced rate boarding. Eating cheap even utilizing canned veggies from their garden. Gas wasn't bad back then. I'm sure he did his math. He was on my mind recently. Might be time to investigate. Quick math: teaching at FL could be 1800 miles plus one way so that's 3600 plus a week. Hence the oil change as soon as he parked it. 3600 times 40 would be 144,000 miles , and they drove on vacations too. There's 12 weeks of time off there. So the other universities were like Michigan , texas , etc. But FL for a long stretch. Too tired but glad you searched - Thanks !! Great memories. I truly hope I get to talk with him again. Cheers !
  11. Anyone make a recent purchase of the front seal , side output seals , or top shifter seal? I have a few shifter seals but they are from 1979 or so. Thanks for any help.
  12. Gotta be some kind of award we can give you for this, maybe a clock and calender. Lots of time into this puppy. I sure hope you get your thrills from it. Enjoy , and don't take my post the wrong way. Waiting on the video of the donuts you're going to be doing. Oh , and screw those ads for the Scion/Subaru/Toyota with the rump roast end swinging into oncoming traffic around a mountain bend. We want to see your ride in that add.
  13. Factory - not the underwear people's manual. Show your wheel !
  14. Only the one that fits. Buy one of my factory service manuals and the carb adjustments are in there. $20 total - shipped media mail.
  15. Stop your crying and get to work !! :-p:headbang: Waaaggggghhhh , I've got rust ...... That car doesn't desreve my incredibly beautiful rear seat. Make it so Number 1 , make it so. Talk to you soon. I'm really going to get those seats out , but its too hot today and back to work tomorrow night. I'll get working on them this week.
  16. :-p Now I know it's time I turned them over.
  17. Wow , that funky bulb is common ??? I've also got a couple cyclopses that I'm overdue to unload.
