And whoever made the guy carefully remove the entire main wire harness only to back out , you really pee'd him off and now he's pretty much done. He has those few items listed and a few more GEMS stashed for possible future sales. Please be sure you can meet a price before committing.

Some guy I found on eBay just had to *************** to me , and rightly so , about one of us backing out of a harness deal. I'll add more later. OK I'm back. Yeah , what Todd said .... I'm too tired to add but basically the same thing. Be considerate of people's effort and the entirety of it all when getting someone to drive , pay , labor , box , drive , and ship your part. And in some cases consider that if you're buying new old stock that somebody went thru a heck of a lot to get it , retain it , and continue to house it in storage that ain't cheap. Rant done. I just happened to notice he's listed 3 items on eBay. Carpet - $37 plus reasonable shipping - and he washed it already so it looks like new. Door panel - driver's with original "caution" sticker - $29 I think Ignition switch - no key - $13 Hopefully you can still contact him about other items. I know he has an original radiator that I can't get , tail lights in really great cond. , and more.

I had an email from David , he said someone asked about the fenders. Hopefully that was you and you get them. I realize it's a yard and they have policies but WTF with crushing a vehicle someone has been buying parts from all week long ????? Everyone involved is making more than if it just gets crushed. OK , my son and I are definite. Very sure we will be heading down Friday. Leaving here as early as possible. Hoping to hit a yard or two. Still not sure if we'll do that , but hoping.... Let me know if anyone wants to team up at Harry's or New Ringgold ,etc. That's Friday late morning into the afternoon. Probably camp , but if weather sucks we'll snag a room. We asked last time and basically they'll do what they used to carry - if still possible - but they weren't about to add new parts for old cars like ours. If we were Mustang , GTO , Chevelle type folks I'm sure we'd have no problem finding all sorts of seals ,etc. But no , we're Vintage Subaru people. So , bottom line - they don't carry other sealing items for our Gen I's. And we're somewhat fortunate they will still knock out another batch of the windshield gaskets. Other side of the coin says "gee , they told us the last batch would be the last. Why didn't they destroy the mold like they said was going to happen? " Maybe its just business "leverage". It'll be interesting to see if they tell us some story again this time or just keep the mold around another decade or so,

Yeah , some people don't want to hear it but the Brat started in 1977 , believe it or not. I bought a Gen I Brat cover from a guy who claims bought THE FIRST ONE at the dealership right next to Subaru of America's Hdqtrs on his way back home from one of the military camps. It was 1977 but not late enough for the '78's to be out. The dealer was literally rolling the Brat out and onto some ramps for display and this guy was driving by , pulled over , and bought it. He even showed my a slide he had of it back then. I think he was shooting slide pics on base and had a few shots left and took the Brat on its display ramps. The owner was from up here in CT but I'll be damned if I can remember the guy's name or which town he's in but its up near Waterbury.
