My First Post... 1985 BRAT--Time Capsule!!
moosens replied to mwc951's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
With the rust , I'd sell it today and hunt out a rustfree job from the west. But I understand the attatchment. $5G is a really good price considering the rust spots and the current economy. -
Need a Gen I Brat owner for a super quick favor

Thanks guys. -
Fuel delivery would have to be an issue. Would need some pressure for the MPFI. Stay stock for now untill you get something definite to work off of.

That's right , thanks!!! "T" is just below. My friend wrote it down as I recited it but I know what you mean. Thanks again !!! Logan , I'll ship it possibly today , maybe Saturday. -
You don't need my permission. The seller replied to me saying there's still a few left. Main deal is the seller will only ship for a really high price. Spark !!!

Please check etching of tiny numbers on the driver's side door glass for me. I pulled a glass panel from storage with " D5G3 DOT23 BS5282T" You'll also see the Subaru "boomerang" and more letters/numbers below that I think don't matter. Please post whatever you see . And Logan if you can check your passenger side that might help me too. Thanks! Shawn and all Admins - Fix the "Database Error" crap !!!!!!

eBayer whoever got that rebuilt carb for $25 !!!! Now they're asking $65 .... for the remaining 2 , apparently , that they have. Still not bad. Congrats ! Good job , but you stink !

Rustproofing ! Keep it in your living room. -
Hey Spark, been thinking about you ... seriously! That seller still has those 4WD long exhaust pieces in Columbia. I would love to buy one or two at least and have you grab them and ship them up to me. Still willing? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230149250564&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT moosens at yahoo or PM .... THANKS !!! Paul

I'm not positive but I think so. Maybe start another post about that and see who chimes in ... ? Also going to need some mods. Consider that the 2.2 has the 5lug wheels , would need to swap axles , or some frankenstein axle deal , which I recall hearing about too. Would be cool to have the 14's all around. They'd fill those wheel arches and look pretty btchin. Also give you many more options for tires. I see you just sent a PM ... be right there.
-
Steve , you talk to Charlie Miller over at Premier? Tell him I said hi. Might take some refreshing but he'll remember me.
-
I love my '92 FWD 2.2 No oposition here. I'm all for keeping the bodystyle on the road in the most efficient and sensible manner possible and uh ....that'd be it !!! Good luck and please post pics of progress. I've seen Subafreak stuff that 2,2 into a Gen I Brat but he hasn't finished it yet.

Lots of time and money to make it 4WD. Yours is a Stage I which can indeed be a 1977. The later half saw the Stage II which looks like the '78-9. Have fun with it and pass it along to someone who'll appreciate it as is. You can only have them in original condition once. When things pick up you'll be able to get your money back and then some and have $$$ for your real 4WD project. You'd be wasting a classic and only get laughed at anyways unless you unload huge money to make it something that'll be special to you for like ...a couple of runs. If it has a 1400 it's probably pre-'77 , check the date on the door jamb. Check the engine casting for EA63 or 71. Have fun!
-
You need to have a pro do it or drill holes and spray the inside of rocker panels and or "frame rails" , unibody supports ,etc... IF you really want it to last. That is according to my 1978 wagon - always a CT car - still alive and well and kicking rump roast. Good luck.
-
Yummy !!
-
Sounds like the best Loyale wagon one could possibly put together in my opinion. Touring !!! I had one , loved it !! Turbo - I sold mine :-p - Dual range 5spd LOVE THOSE !!! . You've got a package I'd gladly pay good money for. I've put the 80's behind me but if I ever go back that'd be the exact ride I'd want. ENJOY !!

Rule breaker !!! I'll catch up to this at a better time. The Snow Shark !!! Shown over sand .... -
"S U B A R U and nothing else" or "It's a S U B A R U and not anything else" get the idea? If you have a similar one ,please offer your suggestion. Let's see if there's one people would actually pay for and hopefully one of our sticker/decal/printing wizz folks will pick it up. Personally , my issue is the idiots that think my '78 4WD with the iron 2 x 4 front end potector is a Datsun ,or ??? Another one I'd like but would cause some problems would be "It's a white guy's car , too flippin bad for you" ..because that's an issue here too. I'm not the first blanco to point this out , they have huge grins on their faces untill they make out that its a white guy driving it , then their face turns to an angry frown. My apologies to those I've offended , but you shouldn't be if you're here as a Subaru owner.
