Whoa dude! I still have a few from our group buy where we had them manufactured NEW not too long ago. You'll also see some guy on eBay with them but he refuses to say when they were produced...:-\ Contact me and I'll work one your way. Not many left and I'll need around $75 USD plus shipping. As for install it's REALLY a lot easier than you'd think. I'll walk you thru that too if nobody else does beforehand. Also sorry for the re-hijack Bump! -

Senility setting in good,he's about to CrAcK !! God bless the old bastid. Call me tomorrow....was at Charlie's today - turbo wagon coming along. VERY glad to hear that it sounds like the kids are fairly stable. Much blessing their way - and yours too. -

I'm pretty sure I did bid the opening price just incase nobody caught it. But if one of you saw it I had no problem letting it go. I sure was hoping that someone wouldn't bid thinking it would work for anything else, since it doesn't. cheers! -

At this time I'll say yes. Hi Mike! -
Nice job! Brass knuckles in the centercaps? Or is that ... ? Would love to see it up close in Jersey when we do our little trail runs in the Pine Barrens if you could make it. Cheers!

Whatever I can find is for you or Connie. I had a whole cruise setup for those cars. I'm in the middle of helping Charlie get my turbo wagon running again but as I can I will be going thru storage and consolidating and of course weeding out the stuff I have no use for - once again.

I thought about snagging it for one of you guys. I'm surprised Danny didn't snatch it up. keep up the good work! -
Have to remove fenders and get to the inside of the unibody cantilever arms with POR or equiv. and remove the cowl and the same deal near the wiper transmission...and that's only the begining. You'll do fine I'm sure. But please if you really want this right and want it to last don't neglect any areas. Other considerations would be the lower unibody crossmember below the radiator , rear skirt (valance) , inside of doors , rocker panels - you'll want to spray inside and use plugs to seal it back up. Unibody supports under car - VERY important and of course floors and lower firewall. Talk to a shop that has many years of rustproofing and get direct advice. Or let them talk you into a good deal of them doing it and save yourself the contamination and effort. Look at the '74 I just turned over to Jesse. That car if treated properly will be worth WAY more than what he's paying me for it in short time. But if it develops rust in a few years - :-\ Not sure what your plans are but if you ever have a kid it'll be a real sweet car to turn over one day. My other advice would be don't overbuy and overstock anything. There were way many more of these cars made than we think of here on our coast. We had plenty of them here but you know what happened. You can always find bits and pieces to improve the body, just not much here out east. See ya!

Finally caught up with your threads. Very cool! But please tear it down and get that rust NOW. Good luck with it!

:-\ What else can I say? I'll talk to you soon. Right now I have to clean up the puke. :-\ Man I hope my "next vintage projects" come along as nice as this one. Gonna have to abuse you for way too many favors down the road. Seriously though, I'm glad you have it now. I'll talk to you about possible bits and pieces soon. Just wondering about your situation with the kids and all. Our condolences once again. Keep the "source" a secret, please. That pic of the wheels reminds me of being there. And that hurts - but you're in the know now so that's a plus. I'm guessing you won't see this untill tonight so give me a call as you can. -
Which rear badge is correct?

What the heck is this thing?
moosens replied to bratgrl's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
One thing that stinks is the FSM's don't have the A/C equipement in them. I probably have some info somewhere on the early units. I'll try to check my '78 later today. Just curious - Bobby, is your A/C compressor a York or Sanden .... or Panasonic? or ??? -

the "other can" is the blue smaller filterbox that is mounted on the driver's side. Only the '80 has that. still not sure, but now I'm guessing a temp sensor if it was indeed mounted where you show it now. .....just a guess. Where to the wires trace to? -

Yeah, ejector switch for passenger seat. Seriously,I'll have to dig thru my FSM but I don't even know if its gonig to be in there. I take it yours is an '80 with that extra filter/can. Was this a California model? -

Can I get an autograph? Crayola is cool , Sharpies are toxic. Wayyyyyyyyy cool ..........junior. -
Sure is an attractive modification to me. Something I'm certainly interested in for personal pleasure. Now,throw that same drivetrain into say a '70's Coupe ....mmmmmmm. Thanks very much for this post. Enjoy it!

the possible death of the sedan
moosens replied to hatchsub's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
There you go,Steve. Mechanical problems you'll face are easily solved in most cases. Metalworking a unibody car back to what I know you'd like it to be? - costly - considering all parts, etc. You know the deal, you're a smart guy. Don't let someone else's soft heart concern you. Or their soft head. Its your money, not theirs. I know what I said the first time around shot a load in someone's wheaties but that's life. Like I said, you'd be overworking, overspending and falling short of your goal. Hey, if GD can be one so can I. Coupes are cool. Sedans unless from the early 70's are ....not nearly as cool. -

same here, pretty much any non Brat EA81 items I have are yours if you need them. Can't give you the money, though. -

Wow,I sure do wish you luck with that one. I think you know my opinion already. He'd better be a really good friend.
