A few pics from Deals Gap (The Dragon)
moosens replied to Turbone's topic in Non Soob Cars and Bikes Discussion
Hey Rob,just saw this while checking out the newer forums.. Yeah, that'd be me. Infact....I'm fighting my former comments that I'd never have another Ducati as my commuter. But,the Monster sure makes it a tough decision. Easy to work on,like a Subaru. And with Italian valve adjustments you need that easy access because you're doing it a lot. And,the Monster is the Harley of all other bikes. the typical owner instantly adds something to set it apart from stock and individualize it. I don't know.Part of me wants to go yuppie and get a BMW K1100 or 1200LT for commuting and wife. My back is telling me no more sport bikes. But no,I'm not ready for a Hawg. Buell, maybe. Wouldn't mind either of the two current hot sellers for Ducati. The Hypermotard and the 1098. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :-p http://www.ducati.com/en/bikes/my2007/ModelPage.jhtml?family=Hypermotard&model=HM1100S-08 http://www.ducati.com/en/bikes/my2007/ModelPage.jhtml?family=Superbike&model=SBK1098STRICOLORE-07 1098: Hypermotard: Shoooooey, boy! That dang Ducati done took off into the woods.... Tought to resist. -

Who'd be interested in buying a copy of this?
moosens replied to moosens's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
I sure will do just that once I get my '73 down here from my parent's house. And I'll fit it up to the '78 or '79 wagon and the '74 sedan, coming soon,as I can. -

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM tasty! My '78 will have to do for now. Maybe my latest '78 but it's up in Mass. and unregistered. Can't wait to have my '73 Coupe looking like your B ! Mike,on a side note,I'm all hot for a Volvo P210,speaking of 210's. Just incase you see one around, keep it in mind,please.. If I don't find one worth messing with in a couple of years I'm going to build my own copy with more than likely a Subaru drivetrain. -

Turbones Trip to the East Coast Update
moosens replied to Bucky92's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
You guys need to cut your states up and glue the cool places back together again real close to each other. j/k But man, everything is so far for you guys,so it seems. Portland,Sea-Tac,they look like great places to be near, but most other places of interest are miles away. Connie is only 45 minutes from civilization on the shoreline. The northwest corner of our little state is the most beautiful and most rugged. It's really like "somewhere else, some other state" because it more resembles VT or NH than the rest of CT. Wild cats, black bear,moose...that ain't the CT I have down here. In many ways she's lucky to be up there away from certain things down here ....people! But if you don't shoot guns or toss a line in the water there's much less to do up there. Probably the major reason we never went to New Milford like we were looking into years ago. All in all it's a great town and has enough stores to satisfy without being over ridden, yet. Still one of our favorite towns here in CT. The Chicken Dinner at the Fire House rules. Pretty soon you'll be having extra dough,Connie. then your outlook/perception of CT anyways, will change,I hope. It's hackable. If you really need rider's clubs ,etc. check over the line in western NY or go ride at Doug Henry's place. Milfrod Rider's Club Friday Night Races..wanna go some Friday night? -

I disagree,Connie. You can wallow in your misery or do something about it. You'd better let that insurance kick in before taking on extreme sports at your age,no offense. Anyone in extreme sports regardless of age should be healthily insured. And again, you moved up there away from everything, sorry. If I suggest most things to you, including Milford Rider's Club, you're probably gonig to tell me it's too far, right? Move to the action if you want it. Sorry, but you need to move in my opinion. CT doesn't exactly fit me either but I sure know how to keep myself busy here. Personally I'll be getting back into windsurfing and boating now. No museums in sight on the water. No tree huggers either. -

No way! You chose to live up in the sticks..... :-p Too much to do down here. Besides,I hunted and hiked that corner of the state. There's plenty of trails to hike. -

Calling Grampa from the FRONT ROW to tell him Shelley Duncan just hit his first Major League home run .......... priceless! Sorry guys.Hope you had a great time. I really wish I had gotten to meet Rob,but he'll have to catch me on his turf. The day was without question the best I'd ever had at the Stadium. Weather, traffic, kids, game, and just about everything nearly perfect. No offense guys, but this was a once in a lifetime event for me and my son. Hey,you've gotta see the taco stand they're putting up across the street!! For the ladies Jeter and A-rod: Cheers ! -

I won't release the pitbulls on this one. Hey guys, have a great time!! My son has met more USMB members than most USMB members have. -
Maine ain't what it used to be. :-\ At least it's beautiful up there. Thanks, and it'll most likely be here if you ever do need the quarter. See you in September? I know I'd like to head up your way sometime, again. We love Maine and Nova Scotia. Should be making a run to NH/VT soon,so maybe we'll do a swing on over run and hit Old Orchard or Freeport for JunkyardGabe's place. I'll be sure to call ahead when/if it happens. cheers!

And the Golf.....if Andrew doesn't get it our buddy Charlie probaby will. I'll clue him in on it. He's in the opossite end of the state from you,has a flatbed and tow dolley. How moldy smelling is that interior on this buggy? Been parked over grass or dirt? -

Sommmunnna Beach,I forgot you actually were on this little old message board. We'll have to talk on the tin cans 'n string thing soon. Not a lot of room right just yet. Did complete the move out of the old storage joint, and just need to sort though the new place to make room. George Carlin comes to mind right now ...stuff... Make me a sweet price on the lot and I'll make it easy on both of us. We'll talk. At this point shaking the EA82 era completely out looks out of the question. But since I have my family members driving at least one I'll be sucker for the load. ....and the saga continues ............ -
'78's Facelift is Done!
moosens replied to Seahag1978's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Very cool!! High visibility. Much needed these days. -
No pressure. We can work it out in the future. Dave, wasn't that like $20 or so? I could just pay you if you want. Money is no where near as tight as it was back then when this thing popped into our lives. No sweat all around. If it needs to sit here it's not the worst thing to have around. Hangs really nice from walls or ceiling. Right now it lays over a whole mess of bulky parts,so it's acting as a tarp these days. What do you folks have to go through for inspections up there for a 70's Subaru?? We are SO lucky down here lately.
