  1. So far,you ARE the list. I'll fit this one up to my wagon when the two are in the same place, hopefully soon. Definitely making one for my '73 Coupe.
  2. Jeff-MAV-is super cool !! Sending his '79 4WD wagon northward with Andrew-WagonsOnly-while I work on his bike to make it roadworthy and ship it. Thanks very much for your patience and understanding throughout this deal/ordeal. The car MIGHT be at Carlisle on Andrew's return trip.Hoping for meeting him and the car on Friday night. Jeff,I will do my utmost to give attention to the bike and not let my end of the deal linger.I've taken long enough, and I'm sure you understand that we are now REALLY just turning the corner with the move, jobs, and money to facilitate all. This week is a serious adjustment for sleep and Carlisle is this weekend,so hang tight and I'll be giving you good news in the coming week.At the very least I will have made progress on the bike and will be very close to shipping. Power to ya!
  3. Going to try to copy this Kamei air dam for 70's Subarus.Pretty sure this one fits the '77StageII thru '79 only, but might work on the '72-77 as well.(USA) Hoping to use some really nice looking woven graphite like the center fabric (black) in this picture below. Nothing definite yet.But I sure do hope to do some layup work this year.
  4. WTF? I just tried to post and got "this forum is not accepting new posts" Connie,if this goes through,I'll be looking hard for you everyday this week How are you getting to work on Monday?
  5. Just got the word from my son that he wants to be part of the gang. We'll be heading down Friday afternoon and hitting the H'burg area around 7PM to stop at the barn where we bought the NOS last year. We're picking up the old Subaru sign that was left behind and any other goodies that may have been overlooked.Bringing the sign to Carlisle to do something with-raffle,give away....something. So,don't forget, its a FAMILY event. Also,we might be hitting Pine Barrens on the return either late afternoon/evening Saturday or early on Sunday. Can't afford to get stuck or breakdown with short notice so we're probably shoot for leaving Carlisle late Saturday,we'll see.If I have some support for Sunday morning then we'll stay over and hit PB for sure.(Neo,and Nick,I'm talking about you guys. And anyone else from north Jersey thru CT who could possibly help us should be become stranded.)I absolutely need to be home by 11PM Sunday even if it means leaving the '78 somewhere.
  6. Cool, and thanks!! Just stopped in quick, have to run to the Bluefish game....but I'll be doing the move probably in the late afternoon into the evening, depending on when I sleep.I'm starting new hours this week -midnight to 7AM :-\ so I'll have to play it by ear how I feel.I can see myself not adjusting this first week and just working hard because the sun is up and its springtime.Right now I also need to organize the new space a little better to make the move go smooth.
  7. Very cool....so bring a bale for me! (see above...you must still be medicated.....and I know I'm too damn sober lately:rolleyes: ) Will be great to meet you, nipper.Same for the NY people,Steve from CT,and the others I haven't met yet. Hey,if you didn't check that Food thread...that's REAL lostah meat in those ravioli !! Molto buono!! Ciao!
  8. Thanks! I'll see where things are at.I know we are going to the Bridgeport Bluefish game at 4PM or so.The game starts later but my son is taking part in some Little League thing where the kids march on the field,etc.etc...and fireworks after the game.I might go later, like at 5-6 just to meet up with the family and see the game. So,if you can't make it down before 3PM it might not be worth your time. If you have time during the week I'll be around in the late afternoon/evening hours. Then next week is Carlisle. Looking like I'm going down solo on Friday,so let me know if you want to caravan down.Support vehicles are good to have when we drive these old cars. As for the move,I'm taking my time and will use the following weekend May 26th/27th to wrap it up in Milford if it comes to that.
  9. Maybe start asking about older mechanics that have moved on.You might get a good lead and find that one guy who kept old tools and parts when the dealer went to toss them.It happens, trust me.I have a good sized box of NOS that was about to be tossed that a Senior Master Tech snagged for me.
  10. OK guys,I'm not going to make myself (more) nuts over this so this Saturday is going to be a mild push, but I'm not balls out to try to make the whole deal completed. Still,if you have half a desire to help and/or at least come by to see what's there THIS SATURDAY IS THE DAY TO DO IT!!!!!!! During the coming week I'll be back to taking things over in the Legacy and you'll miss out of viewing things. Cheers
  11. Thanks for calling,Andrew.Better late than never. If you can stop by on the way back from Florida I'll NOT serve you the lobster and NOT have to call an ambulence. But I sure will buy you a meal of your choice for showing up regardless of what happens with the '79 wagon coming up or not. Good luck, safe trip, hope to see you there.
  12. Maybe you missed it because I know I posted this before...no biggie. You drive in,hit the registration house, then procede straight into the field as ll cars must travel this main stretch. As the first bend (right) comes up we're immediately on the left in the Asian area, right across from the Italians.
  13. Can we ask for a printout of the Club at the front desk?I'm just curious if there's non USMB members who signed up from the posted promos. I should be down there Friday night.Looking to stay inexpensively, like sleep in the car or camp....all depends on if I have my son and all.If he comes along I might grab a hotel somewhere nearby.
  14. Well,I just tried to scan the page and it wouldn't copy it. From an FPM for the 1977 model year, but the hourglass socket I'm talking about wasn't in there.they show a thin wall socket and a "C" shaped socket that gets around like a crows foot does. Hey,you know that head alignment tool is good to have too,and the spacers if your tightening without the rocker on. Hang tight and I'll make the time to find the early FPM's and scan and post,if nobody else does sooner.
  15. Lobster ravioli !!! Looking like my specialty treat to share with you guys.
  16. Got the smaller storage unit emptied today. Should be renting a truck on Saturday and making one good push. But I'm not too anxious to do that since I might just relax on it and take the rest of the month to get completely moved over. So maybe the weekend after Carlisle will be the big push. Help would be great. If not,I understand. Yes,I know that this Sunday is Mother's Day. So that's another reason not to go crazy this weekend. Like I said,so far my '92 Legacy (2wd 5spd) with the old Sears "exCargo" white trash/redneck pod on top has done wonders! We got that pod for free like 7-8? years ago and it's rednecked along many-a-mile!
  17. OK,could happen more easily now.Just found out tonight they're pushing me over to the shift I'm supposed to be on so Friday I'll be able to leave in the afternoon/evening. Just wanted to cry like a little girl for a minute. Now my blouse it all wet.:-\ Andrew, can you please try to communicate as you say you're going to?Hard to make time for you when my plans get screwed up.
  18. Yeah,Florida is no bargain.Used to see "Solid Southern Car" advertised years ago when people were gah gah for muscle cars.Very few were ever actually "solid" throughout. And Florida, well there's salt air, harsh sunlight...not good. Both my '78 wagon-which you may have heard about  and the '76 I talked about were CT cars for life. They and a few others represent that 1-2 % I'm getting that '74 Jon posted from Idaho, and from now on I have virtually no choice but to get them from the west,etc.. The old lady 70's cars are all gone now up this way. Well, almost all gone. But I'm turning my back on EA81's and EA82's.
  19. No,not for me,but thanks for your consideration. I'm really not drinking much at all these days, but if its cool out a good Guinness,or if its warmer any decent Ale.But to tell the truth please don't go out of your way for the sake of showing up with something impressive. After this week of people not returning calls, etc. and basically blowing me off in one way or another I'm probably leaning towards blowing off Carlisle. But I have to say,the most of you guys going for the first time I'd really like to meet,so there's a chance I might go.Just so much going on and now is the only time for me to get my move done and get our home on the market by completing the work going on.Son has two baseball games that weekend too.Lots of reasons to not go,but few reasons to drive that far just hang with people at the moment.
  20. Sorry,Devin, but that's false. Maybe upwards of 98% but if you look at my '78 wagon and the '76 GF I had to crush you'd know there's a good percentage point or two that survive. Not saying you're not 98% right, but there is that 1-2% but they usually aren't easy to see since they are genuine old lady cars. They are the ones who get them washed.take them to dealers for mechanicals, and put next to zero miles on per year. There's a VERY solid 3door right here in Bridgeport and an EA81 wagon both of which I've looked under. Also,Andrew has failed to come through so now I will have to cover shipping on those door panels or take a ride up.We're overdue to go to VT to see some friends,so maybe we'll do that soon. Thanks for your help.Let me know what's still around from that '74 and I'll consider the shipping vs ride.
  21. Sort of like an hourglass shaped socket??That's the one I have. I'll get a pic when I have a little more time.
