You got that right, sister!! Emily, can you please take the time to make a post in Historic about the seven different configurations of the EA71??? Please ?? Most of us know the "wide case" and the different Air Injection fittings, but I'm sure you with your knowledge can elaborate and teach us all something. Thanks!! Paul

Quick check for my '73 and '78 showed some results but nothing too great. On the other hand they did have a couple items that it's good to know someone has, like belts, basic stuff..... Water pumps were ok but nothing to go wild over since you can find Parault pumps on eBay occasionally,or the Beck Arnley ones they have,etc...but cheaper than ROCKAuto. It'll help some people,so thanks for posting. But keep in mind, they don't have things like 1400 cylinder liner shims like Bryan T is looking for right now,or many other items that we need to refurbish our old cars. They do have some items to help keep them going.Just check around on priced unless you've got money to burn.

Carlisle Import Show **FOOD**/stayover thread

Plans vary from person to person. My plans are still uncertain, just tossing ideas out and potential schedules. If I can get down there Friday night then yes,I'd be all over a nice meeting for breakfast anywhere that I don't have to prepare and clean up after....waffle house,diner....like that. If I am still working late hours come that weekend then I have no choice but to drive down Saturday morning and arrive a little late for anything but just going into the show.At that point I'll be happy to make a lunch, maybe even dinner at the tent. Typically after Saturday the majority goes home. Some stay for Sunday.Again,it all depends on my work schedule, which is due to fluxuate sometime soon.Wether its before or after Carlisle has yet to be determined. Hope this clarifies. See you there, sometime on Saturday for sure. Cheers! -
Wow,I didn't even look. Thanks,I guess. I think I have some brake work coming up.:-\ My wife's '96 Brighton has drums,so I just figured the '92 had cheapy (L series) wagon had them too. Thanks for the edjumacation. Maybe that's why I couldn't find anything in the search. So Shawn, I sure do trust your opinion....and since I haven't even looked yet.... talk to me brother. Were you thinking of something else?

We'll fine tune the details as it gets closer. But in the meantime it'd be nice to see folks speak up,even if they don't want to be involved.Just say "nah,I'm going for the dogfood they serve at the consessions stand" or something like that. Mostly,if we get an idea of who's bringing a stove or grill we can figure out burgers 'n dogs, etc. from there. If money is tight I know I completely understand and just bring for yourself to keep from spending TOO much at those vendors and diners,etc.. Main thing is to try to show up.I don't have much trouble feeding a few friends for a meal or two. It's in my blood.:-p Saturday-lunch and dinner is the main deal.If we stay over Saturday then we're almost certain to hit a diner (Sunday) or the W/H for convenience sake on Sunday AM. Cheers! -
Don't make Dave say bishes!!! One month away!!!! Can't wait to see that Volvo P210 Hearse.Wanted one since I saw the factory manual I have for it last year. Going to be some fun.I have some small gifts to hand out and am working on more promo items from Subaru.and we should have a Subaru sign to raffle off,or who knows, maybe give away.I think it's a Subaru Leasing sign, but it's pretty cool, and you WANT to be there anyways.

Yeah, well,I'm starting to think the northeast people are pretty snotty and even more uptight this year than ever.So buy a can of beans and gas up for Carlisle!!! Bump for the prepetually hungry soul. Going to be busting the hump and moving the storage so when the camping stove comes into view I'm stowing it away in the '78 for Carlsile. What about you?????? Have a good recipie?Even a couple of burgers or dogs to toss on?So far I've only got someone's smokin tushy chili on my mind and only hoping for more mouthwatering unhealthiness to partake in. Still an outside chance of that seafood lasagna I threathen to bring. Oh wait,I think we're serving threaded rod!!!!,right Ben?? yuck yuck yuck.... -

Sure will,in the not so distant future. I need to get past my probation period then I'll start asking about taking scraps home.Lots of scraps!! Any special pre preg that's easier, better, better looking, etc.??Also going to need some lessons on resins to use,the whole nine yards.Right now I'm a cutter but will probably have to train on som lay-up.Just had a class in handling, etc. basic info for aircraft mfg.,etc. Maybe we can get a conversation going through email,or PM sometime soon.Got lots of questions. Take care, Paul

Am I missing a skid plate?
moosens replied to danrenfroe2016's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
If you have the rocker trim pieces in super shape I'd pay the oversized shipping for them and good lunch/beer/wine money if you'd pack them up in a good strong tube or box. They're about 58" long if I remember right. The ones that have clips and sit below the doors, between the wheels.THis would be for a restoration,so if they have dings I really would rather not want them.Send pics if you'd like. You don't need that skid plate.Let me be the only knucklehead to have one. Mine is off the car,but I do plan on painting it as they did come the same color as the body (the HUGE one did,not the typical smaller black style). It'll only be installed for shows. Cheers -
I'm working with all sorts of pre-preg glass and woven graphite. Let me know if you need some small pieces. We toss out lots of small usable pieces and occassionally some larger pieces. Going to start my own work-ups later this year.

amen, and a big DITTO for a lot of us. So that's why I say JUST SHOW UP. We're all (mostly) fairly low budget, sensible people. We take care of paying the bills, feeding the family, etc and the Subarus just have to come further down the line. This will be probably the third year I've said "Come see my '78 the LAST year of being unrestored"... Oh well,as long as it shows up.

Oh gosh Neo,you just haven't caught a good crowd yet. On Sept. 15th,2001 we had a really big group and I think that year we ran into a Jeep group, small one at that. Then we had another day or two that were plentiful.Skip showed up once for half a day,so did George from Montana!!!(he was here on business). One time a guy drove down from Maine, like 11 hours+ one way. That was the "ZR Brat" with the killer Kawasaki green paint job and the MPFI EA82,lifted and Rhinolinered bed,etc..... As long as the place is there I'll always make it down at LEAST once a year. Worth it!!!! Call you soon....
