  1. Do A Dashboard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CarbonFiber for me,please. Stage I Coupe, please. After that you can get started on the louvers and air dams for the gang.
  2. just scored a solid state V/R off eBay for my '73 Hadn't seen one since the early 80's when we still had these cars on the road. Not sure if there's one out there for the later 70's Subarus, but my guess is there are....somewhere. Meanwhile, there's plenty of old "mechanical" V/R's out there. Got a factory service manual yet?If not, score one of those too, immediately, and multi-meter. Shipping is high on this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SUBARU-1600-1800-Factory-Service-Manual_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ119140QQitemZ160099116772QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW But maybe it's worth it to ask the seller if they'd ship using USPostal MediaMail for around $4 or less. If you get a '77-78-79 manual it'll also have the same diagnostics for the '81 Brat,I'm pretty sure. '77 : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1977-Subaru-1600-Original-Factory-Service-Manual-77_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ119140QQitemZ200072600699QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V You'll find then even cheaper if you wait. Here's a list of V/R's on eBay. http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&catref=C6&from=R10&mppfqy=Subaru+voltage+regulator&satitle=Subaru+voltage+regulator&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&sadis=200&fpos=06604&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=1%26fsoo%3D1&coaction=compare&copagenum=1&coentrypage=search&fgtp= Check your connector-I'm pretty sure you have the round connector-and you should be all set. Good luck.
  3. THAT WAS FREAKIN COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mud season at its finest!! Nice job Nicky!!!!!!!!! Looks like a good group that day.Hope we can meet up with them next time too.Should be more dry by late April, but you never know.
  4. I know my 4WD lever rattles and needs that bushing too.Let us know if they show any available. Thanks!
  5. Start kicking ideas around, please. Thinking an early meet on Saturday at the Waffle House so we can be at the Show by 9AM or shortly thereafter. From the looks of things, the opportunity for my crew to get there on Friday night is in existence. That would take the pressure off of having to rush down on Saturday morninig. And of course,be able to hit the Waffle House. Is anyone intending on bringing a camping stove, grill, etc. to cook on? My stuff is buried still, but I should be tearing through the storage unit in the month of April and could have the good ol' Coleman double burner there. Maybe a nice homestyle cookout experience for Saturday afternoon and evening? Who's camping?Who's snagging a room? Anyone besides Andrew alergic to seafood?
  6. From what I understand at this time I'll be able to get down there Friday night. Would be best if I leave Saturday night,or early Sunday, with escort,AAA Plus plan, and well charged cell phone.New job,90 day probabtion, can't be late or miss days in that stretch. Are we ready to talk food yet? And don't forget SATURDAY IS THE DAY to be there. Food/meals probably depends on actual time of arrival. Seperate food thread coming!!
  7. You likely need the shifter "resin bushing".You can probably find them if you hunt around. That's one of the items I intend on either making or getting someone to make. As far as I know the Pug wheels will be tight, but could work for you.Your local tire place can order the 13's no problem, they just probably won't bother stocking them. Glad you're mobile again with it.Good luck.
  8. No problem.I should have been ready since I also watched your videos from previous events. Cool pics,Bart. Going to be a wicked fast month of April with too much to do.But we'll make time for the Barrens.Maybe Connie can have her cookout there.
  9. Luckily my kids weren't paying close attention at that point.:-p Wife gave me a look "ok,I'm turning it down...."
  10. Go Neo!!! Go Nick!!!!!!!!! Hey,I can't read too good.....does that say "www.Jeeps_get_stuck dot com???" Nice that you all got along well enough.I'm sure normally those guys our manuever us in the nasty stuff.....on good days. Take us to the watchtower again next time please.I really want to get back there and take some pics from the top. Oh,and way to go to the forester guy too!!!...forgot your name. Are you Bart? Looks like the winter made things more interesting, and you found some of the old spots we went to back in 2001,2002. Good goin' guys!!! See you in April
  11. What ever happened to that young lady down your way with all the old stock, etc.?
  12. I'll try the guy here who has some old Koni stock for us. Any other 1400 owners should chime in now, please. This man should be at the Carlisle Import Show in May.I've emailed asking him to bring whatever Subaru fit items he may have.Hopefully I should have enough money to make a group but on the spot and pass along the discount to my fellow 1400 owners who have shown intention on keeping their cars.
  13. Thanks! And I'll try to learn how to spell dinner by then. Dinner at the Red Lion Diner!!! mmmmmmmmmmmmm, hot waitresses.... Watch, you guys will get the old lady of the bunch.:-p Who knows what you guys will see me in NEXT MONTH.....might be the '78,might be a Leg-a-wagon,and Impy wagon,or even my friend's Forester which he's offered to me at a great price.Outside chance it could be my '87 turbo wagon too.
  14. Hey guys,I have a diner to go to with my brother. He just helped me score a great new job,so I really can't back out of that.Besides,it's a game diner. Hope to see you guys soon. Have a blast, and post those pics!!!
  15. I'll consider that. All depends on my window of time permitted. The way it looks now I'll be arriving Saturday around lunchtime.:-\
  16. Take a bus up here and drive one of ours. j/k Cool,it'll be good to see you again!
  17. No,sorry Matt....and I swear I'm going to call just to shoot the male cow. We're staying put for now. Others have asked for Gen 2's and I replied that you guys should get an order built and use our Vintage Subaru name to get that sweet discount.
  18. Some of you have witnessed my apetite. So STOP making me drooooooooooooooooool ! Seriously, around April or so we should start the food at Carlisle thread.I can't commit to anything untill I know my work schedule.
  19. Yeah,I kind of knew that, but kind of blipped out on his name. Just a little bit much going on this week, more than usual. No sweat, take your time and there's actually more than a couple here that could be sold,so don't worry, you'll get one either way.
