  1. (not laughing at you) I think maybe one person might have actually notified me without my having to ask,so I can't expect them to post here if they don't reply to me. We're at the very back end of this thing.MAV and the Canadians are last and it's all ready to wrap up. Plenty of room to openly criticize me if I fail on the last two. Heck, that's worth a whole new thread. Come on guys,I'm trying to kill a thread here. So,for now please don't post here and we'll let it linger untill the Hosers,eh,and MAV get theirs. Then its 86 time.
  2. Richard, here's yours: Tracking number 231488510000051 Jan 30, 2007 5:21 PM Arrived at FedEx location BLOOMINGTON, CA whoo hooo! Getting closer....I'm guessing they toss it on your porch tomorrow.Enjoy! And,sorry again for not getting yours to you first. Cheers, Paul Right on,take care Mike! OK,I have some money, going to the Post Office tomorrow to get the Canadian order out.More apologies in order to you guys.Yours got boxed up and more or less shoved to the side while I tangled with FedEx,and learned that US Postal is the best for shipping over the border. Thanks again for your patience.I hope I didn't screw up anyone's winter project. MAV,still waiting. Please help me from backtracking and look for your email I sent to the address you sent Paypal from.(might have been mom's or another female in your life...)Or just send a solid $25 and that should cover your balance on the gaskets and shipping.
  3. I unlocked it so it would fall through the floor when we're done with it. To me,we're just about done with it. I think maybe one of you actually confirmed without my asking,so to me it's "confirmed" if FedEx delivered it. But sure,I want to keep it untill everyone is happy.:-p Make room for Batch 2 !!!
  4. Sorry,I either didn't realize you needed yours ASAP or I went toast on it.I got John C's out to CA first because he was really crying the blues.Kind of thought there was another urgent need but ....????? You should have the notification/tracking number email from FedEx. Enjoy! And please let me know about the removal and resetting cost.I'll be looking to do the same soon.If you're a pro and do it yourself please post some pics and advice.
  5. So 7 cars entered already, right? And its not even February yet. Add the usual suspects and we round up about a dozen and a half cars if those folks show up.Jon(2) Matt(2) Keith, Dave(2?) Melis, Nick ,Scranton brothers, upstate NY guys, maybe Neo,and a couple more Jersey people. Any word on Scott S.? His kid ok,or what?
  6. THere's washing facilities about 100 feet from our tent!!! All cars are welcome to use it FREE. Something I just found out last year. Dirty isn't too bad, especially if you show up really muddy in a 4WD. That'll show those Volvo XC wussies.
  7. No sweat, and thanks for understanding too.I'm so broke right now that I might have to wait a couple more days to send it,very sorry. We learned about the rip off brokerage fees the hard way.If it goes over a US border just use the USPostal folks.
  8. Supercede numbers can play tricks on you. Most of these numbers appear to me "first edition".
  9. I'm more than half way through on checking the p/n's for Shawn,so don't go too crazy anybody. I have all FPM's from the 360 through 1982,and some more. Just takes some time flipping pages, hunting them down. Shawn,I'll gladly cover you for the 1100-1400 items. Gotta think you want the 1600 stuff. Talk to you soon.
  10. Only thing I would add is go carefully around the corners.Take your time and don't press hard.Make several light cuts instead of pressing hard.
  11. yeah,I'm working on it,and should be at the Post Office with cash tomorrow or Tuesday. The first package boxed will be one of the last to ship, sorry about the way that worked out.At least we're going USPostal now,and NOT FedEx or another major shipper. We don't need no stinkin' taxes coming back at me again. Problem the last couple of weeks has been getting time and cash in hand at the same moment.:-\
  12. Went to Carlisle for our big show on a Friday night once in the '78.Same thing, lights went out.I checked the fuse, looked great,no fix though.Drove carefully for about 100 miles or so,next day had Skip look it over.He used my FSM and hunted through everything only to find the fuse I saw as good had a broken endcap.......didn't see that because I didn't take it out and tug on the ends.Filiment(sp?) looked good. Skip to the rescue! Might or might not help you too.
  13. Hey guys, can we whack this thread now or what? Last to get them are the Canadians (Zefy accepting the lot) and MAV in Florida.Canadians look to be all set for payment. They've coverd the ticket.MAV needs to send just a small balance,so can we consider this batch done? Let thread drop?Delete it? On to batch two And BTW....git yer butts moving!!! Those of you who replied for Batch 2,please,please,please make things happen quick to ensure our price and make life easy for Todd and myself. Thanks
  14. Nice base to work with!!!!!!! What's the Mfg. date on it?? Before May of '78? In a couple of years I'm going to need one just like that, not pretty, but solid.Keep that in mind for me.
  15. A little bracket here,a little bracket there.......hmmm,we all want to see that project.Subframe, slight lift, big wheels......all it takes is money and time. As for dropping in a 1600,should be straight up.Like Todd said, back then folks regularly took a 5-7 year old Subaru they got for $500 and dropped in a 1600.Giving up on the 1400 was real easy back then.If the crossmember is not perfect you might have to hog out the mount holes, but I think you're ok really.
  16. Gotta start super low in this case.Low mileage, sure but I got my '78 with 70k too for $350,running great. Granted the days of getting that lucky are waning, but I'd still start way low because of it sitting, beat interior,dent,etc.. $200 and let them work you up a little if you have that weak of a heart.(don't be insulted,we've all gotten weak for one thing or another) Like 75Subie said for max,but I sure wouldn't go any higher. Good luck
  17. Yes,I'm going to whip up a sealing parts/weather stripping thread soon. Basically,it'll be a call to arms.Scatter and seek, bring back good news. Then plan a financial undertaking once we're sure we have what we're looking for. With each approach we need to explain to every vendor that this would be a group purchase, not just one or two cars. Most likely upwards of 50 cars +. Getting back to your '76,that's a smart approach.Cover it,let the rain go over it now instead of into it.Where you're at it'll sit fine.
  18. Wow,I'm registered too!!! 3 cars!!! Thanks Andrew!! Coming soon,a flyer for you to post at your local dealer or Subaru shop, etc.
  19. Let us know how it is,and if they have any others left....please. That'll fit my '73 Coupe.Hopefully it was produced more recently than the late 70's.
  20. Take the shore route and caravan with the other vintage knuckleheads. Thanks for not registering my car.
  21. Yes,for the "no regrets" treatment DO the headgaskets and intake manifold gaskets too!!
  22. We need a cross section of the rubber to give us an idea of wether or not a current catalog item will work,or if we need to special order. PRP's catalog has nice cross section views of their stock. Datsuns, maybe!! The Subes and 'suns share a few items! Cross your fingers everybody. Whoa!!! I might have the cross sections right here in my FPM!! Later on I'll start a dedicated Sealing and Weatherstripping Parts Thread. For now,the info you asked for......Stage II '77-79 rear sedan windshield gasket p/n = 6650 02660 and according to the FPM does NOT interchange with Stage I cars from '72-77.That p/n is 6650 02240 GF Hardtop = 6650 02410 for Stage I and 6650 02700 for Stage II FE and DL Coupe = 6650 02280 for Stage I and 6650 02680 for Stage II
