  1. :slobber: Oh man, that hurts. But at least some lucky sucker will have a pretty sweet little buggy...or two...or three.... There's a LOT of nice cars in that group.
  2. Cool!!!!!! We've got you coverd on parts, just GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. [quoteExtra cargo space is really all it is. There are no other differences, but they did usually come as high-end models with many options. ] I'm not so sure about that.I used to get around 16 gallons in the tank,so maybe they had a slightly larger tank?...would make sense for "touring".
  4. Whoo baby!!!!! Nice score! If that dash is uncracked you have one of three known in the northeast. Be sure to let me know what you need.I've got a rear seat backrest for that wagon in in fairly new condition. But I'll bet yours has hardly ever been used.
  5. Hi Trudy,Welcome back.....no honey,we're talking about Stage I and Stage II. Or,at least that's what I was talking about. Stage I - '72-'77 early Stage II - '77 late thru '79 for cars. All '77-'81 Brats are a "Stage II" but also "Gen I of the Brat. Still haven't checked any manuals yet.
  6. What year turbo wagon?'83-4 style or the Loyale style?
  7. Ziebart is the ONLY reason this 1978 Subaru wagon of mine is still on the road kicking butt all over the northeast. RRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! You doors already come with drain holes.Key factor is to make sure all drain holes are passive when coating is done.I believe they insert small pieces plastic film, etc. in the holes and remove them as it's curing.
  8. #1 -don't bother for many reasons #2 -did you check to see what's under the other guy's hood yet? We've got some of those folks up here too.....they take theirs to the dragstrip,etc....so good luck if you do go for it. #3 - "p" is nowhere near "d" .....how'd you manage to spell it "neep some help"? just bustin balls...stay out of the newspapers!!
  9. Sure,I'd do two,for sure. Are the Stage I and Stage II the same?? I'll be able to answer my own question when I dig out my manuals again.:-\
  10. Yes,getting very hard to find.Might be a good group buy item again,if we can have some made or reman'd.Times are good for shopping around, since work is getting hard to come by for a lot of folks. I'd hoped to find one in that parts lot we got but no dice.:-\
  11. That's exactly what you see in my picture.I got that same p/n TX18 Goes for like $13 plus $7+ shipping. And according to their locator there's two of those in the next town over, but they don't say where.Probably some warehouse, not a store. dats poyfeckt Thanks,I get a shop discount so I'll try my local guy.Infact,I left a message with the other parts guy and I'm sure my guru parts guy will locate one for me.But thanks,I've used those 1stSubarus,SubaruParts.co....etc.,and I'll use them again sometime. My local and I have a good relationship and I need to stop in and drop some dough there to keep some status.
  12. Found this online. Looks like the right one to me. Any different opinions?
  13. Anybody have the part number for that?It sits between the turbo charger and the throttle body, has a rectangular plastic connector molded onto it with two small spades. Any idea how much they list for? I've seen some on eBay for Mazdas, etc. that look exactly like the one I need. Are shaft size and thread pitch typical throughout the industry?Or at least shared by a few Japanese companies? I really need a good unit, preferably a new one,but I've got access to a used one that we think was working fine. Thanks for any help. And,if you have one that you can get to me really soon for real cheap, please let me know.I'm anxious to get this car going like I know it should.
  14. Some pics for kicks...... I've got a couple of boxes ready to go.Just need to make the time for FedEx.John C and the Canadians...sounds like a band, you guys are first up. Enjoy!
  15. Both in Jersey as of today. That's what the vintage Subaru king told me.
  16. Yup,I've gathered up some boxes and will be sending the Canadian lot and John Cockrell's firstly. Hang tight.I suck at getting things out sometimes. But I'll most likely be taking a winter layoff so things should be completed swiftly.
  17. Thanks guys, but no way in hell am I bothering anymore with this car or anything I don't really need from the 80's. The only thing I want is to see either Andrew or myself use that engine and exhaust. Well, like I said last night Andrew,I think the car should go to Charlie's so it's parts are more easily available. If I'm riding out the winter with any of these cars still around I'd like to see that engine, etc. available to me firstly after all this.
  18. Ask how bad the mouse urine smell is. Oh my......just got back from one very nasty ride back from picking up a nice woman's GL 4door in upstate NY.She says the car only sat about three months or so.Never in my life have I smelled something that bad for that long of a time.Windows open, took it well in mid 40's temperature at 55mph++ but by the time we hit the super highway at 65mph+++ I had to roll up all but the passenger side, which was about half+ open....just below level with my nose.I was driving mostly with my sweatshirt pulled up over my nose. Man,I even brought Ozium with me thinking I'd have to deal with a little mold smell.Well, the trunk had the mold smell going on with the rotted corners sucking up water.Almost wish I could have driven it from inside the trunk instead.Ozium is one of the strongest air sanitizers you can score at most stores. It barely helped and only very temporarily. I'd have just turned around but the engine runs like a top and is very quiet. And let's face,we've got some issues going on here. This may have been the spear through the heart of my .....hopefully former..."obsession" with retrieving derelict 80's Subarus.I've been saying I'm going to drop the 80's crap and focus on my 70's and get a nice Impreza.....well,NOW I'm SO ready it's sickening. I am so tired of the 80's cars taking time away from my life. THE END
  19. Probably going to be tough to get us together up there....but worth trying.I know I'd do it,but I'm abnormal.:-p
  20. Well,Andrew is supposed to hook me up with it,but thanks.I'll keep that in mind just incase. For all the effort on this car and it's $100 price I can't complain.Well, wait a minute.....where do I start.
  21. Thanks guys. I'll see about that seal first before anything else.
  22. I wonder if I can score a new rubber seal thingy..... Only problem is,me and the car are in Bridgeport with no intentions of driving back to Charlie's too soon.
