Jon, I thanked you in my "Stash that'll blow your mind" thread. But you deserve a lot more thanks,so here's another one that maybe you'll see. Thanks for the lead on the barn stash. So far,so good. OK,I'll try to incorporate a family weekend vacation somehow and see if we can take the family truck ('89 touring wagon). I know we're going to break something this time.Too many times off roading and never a real breakdown. Hope to see you guys there. Harry's too!!!

OK,then I guess gathering boxes, labels,a marker, maybe take some pictures if you can....then disassembly. Well,I guess now I have to work the plow I have into my '78 restoration. Seeing yours has certainly got me thinking about it.Thanks again for all your pictures you posted. We might be hitting the White Mtns for a weekend over the summer.Maybe we'll get over to see you.

Yes,check eBay. If you don't like eBay or refuse to deal with it,etc. I'll likely be able to help you out,or another board member, with a factory service manual.(FSM) I also have factory parts manuals too, right here handy. Where to start? If you're doing it 100% right,or as close as possible you should get a rotisserie to lift the vehicle up and be able to rotate it to EASILY work on the body....that is if you're doing the body. Am I getting too deep here? I'm not sure to what extent you plan on retoring or refurbishing the car. A 100% correct restoration is much more near impossible than probable. But you can get it looking really close to 100% and fabricate some rubber parts, etc. Have to cook dinner.I'll check back later.

I just bumped up his old thread. It' a pretty cool '79 4WD wagon with a plow. Be sure to contact me.If I forget who you are it's because you're kind of new here and I'm very busy lately.

Harrisburg PA Today!! Could use help/company
moosens replied to moosens's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Nice talking on the phone to you guys.I had so much fun all by myself, wish someone was there to share the joy. Really it was a great day. After the first few wiffs of chicken poop and pee you don't notice it that much. Barn was nice and cool today!!He opened a huge double door right by that last bay.I backed my car right about up to the bldg. And then I opened the swinging "twelve foot drop" door for some crossbreeze.Very comfy. Naturally it was a real dose of energy to go through that ....err...crap,and be like a kid on Christmas day.I loaded the wife's Legacy and the Sears snail pod for full redneck effect.Car sat low but behaved mostly fine all the way home.Gas mileage really wasn't bad at all. Like you care,eh???:-p Well, like I said.......wish you were there. -

Woke up sick, just leaving in a few minutes,no time to chat.....I'll be there around 1:30-2:30 as long as I don't have to stop to be more sick..... :-p -
No,there was no way I was giving up the 56k parts it yeilded.Unfortunately at the time I saw the car as too much to handle and parking was no existent.I tried like crazy to give the shell away but nobody wanted it.Would've been a great lowrider project.Onward......

I'm going to Linglestown just northeast of H'burg.Exit 77...I think. "The Barn" Keith,Jon in PA,Matt....you guys know where to go.I'll have to get the directions on the fly,but I went there twice so I'll be ok.I just can't remember all the street names, and we approached from different directions each time. Jonesville Rd?? then cross over.....1st left...under highway take left...? The early 70's stock. I expect to roll into town around noon, earlier is at all possible. Matt and Keith should have my number. Of course,I realize it's short notice and it's going to be like 95 degrees outside and 115 inside.....so pleae don't go out of your way.......I'll get by on my own. Might have my son with me.I've got just a '96 Legacy wagon with a Sears topper.(nice 'n redneck looking)...so that means there won't be a whole heck of a lot of loading. Thanks for looking.

Sweeeeeet! -
Stick around,we'll all clue you in. Value depends on condition,of course. Can you take some pics and post them here? It's pretty easy, even I can do it. Check out the Photo Gallery and give it a shot if you have a digital camera. I had a '76 GF just a couple of years ago or so that I got from an old lady too.It had 56k on it,always dealer parts,etc....and I got it for $150. It was in pretty good shape except for one back corner underside where the trailing arm attaches to the body.I had too many cars at the time and it nearly killed me :-\ to send that car to the crusher. Might be worth $2,500 or more if it's really sweet.....but the market is kind of small. I have or will have lots of parts that you might need.Feel free to email or send a Private Message through the Board. Good luck with it. Paul

Frederick, Maryland, anyone?
moosens replied to Sinister Subaru's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
I'll be back down there soon. Our friends are on Basford Rd. right near that little 4H club or whatever it is on the corner.I need to finish some built-in bookshelves and some other work around their house....which was obviously built by some scumbag contractor. Is Tim still at Autozone,do you know? I'm pretty sure he'll check in here when he sees "Frederick". -
White walls or you're a rapper wannabe! white walls white walls!!!

OK,so I'll ask again for kicks.... Anyone near there that has time for snagging the door panels if they are 100% intact? Anyone who can go by and take pics for me would be duly honored and possibly compensated for their effort. Please please please check the Historic Forum and print the "Wish List" thread.....please.Or at least print my post within that thread concerning my '73 GL1400 Coupe. But on top of my list there may be some items in the yard car that I didn't think of so please, any pics would be greatly appreciated. I kind of went through this scenario before. One really great west coast guy got some parts for me because he said there was an older Subaru,etc,etc.....long story short the parts were ok but nothing I really want for a restoration. No offense to that guy,but in the future I'd like to see what I'm getting.Especially since we can pretty much count on a '74 having been rusted, beaten on,weathered,etc.. As always,I'll toss some lunch money at least for an effort. Thanks!

I thought you said last time that it was inline to be crushed,or something like that. That wagon needs to be saved,no doubt. -
She's gone to PA.........
moosens replied to 75subie's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Yeah,a '75 for historic reasons would be ideal,to me anyways.Shoulda never crushed the rot box I had but it'd have taken thousands of dollars or hours of time to make it presentable again. -

moosens replied to 75subie's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Well,I would have gotten it but you know the deal....parking. Good luck to the new owner. I'm sure you'll be back in the vintage mode soon. -
Thanks Mick. So,what's there left of it?:-\ Sounds like you called me in for dinner to see an empty plate,Shawn.:-p
