Here's a dark and mysterious photo of the elegant "Lucky le Coupe".:-p No real pillar at the window junction.The rear larger window is power,up and down,not the hinged "pop out" type. The rearmost glass is stationary.

Those '80-84's are next to enter vintage status.Infact you can register an '80 or '81 here right now with no title and need no real inspection,as "antique". Could use a nice center emblem/badge from a 4-spoke steering wheel.I think you can find the badge I want on most GL's from '80-84.The car I need it for is an '82 GLF "coupe".The steering wheel is light brown and the center badge is blue.I want the center badge in mint condition though. The rest of the interior is really sweet in this car.Only has 38 or 39k....turns classic come January! And I'm already emission'd for life. If you come across a rustfree "coupe" that's got the fivespeed manual in it please let me know. I do intend to do some sort of voo doo dance or something with my storage before I actually move.I'm probably going to have to go deep into the mass just to pull out some items I should have never buried. All I can say is stay tuned.

You wanted to buy everything at one time or another. Patrick PM'd me first,and Andrew was supposed to handle the dealing.He claims to have sent two checks....the rest is recent history.We wanted to buy it months ago too.I hope you understand that as far as we're concerned that car should be here already and should have been at Carlisle,but plans don't always fall into place like you expect. I'm just amazed that you and Andrew have such interest in cars I saw when I was like 11 years old and you guys were like.....still twenty years down the road from birth.

This is not the forum for a group buy for '80-84+++ ,sorry bud.Get one going for the Gen II Brat over in that forum.I think you might not need to though.Has to be a small stash of later produced gaskets out there for those cars.Maybe.

My FSM says only the 4door DL got the 5speed manual.But we do know that '78 was the year of Frankensubies,mostly in the wagon catagory though,it seems.

This is going to cause some "family difficulties",I can just tell. :-\ I might be taking the DIP!!!!

Just PM'd you telling you to search for the old brouchures... You're fast! A 2door std. was only available in manual 4spd.The DL was 4spd or automatic. Std. does not have the cover between the body and bumper. Std. came with no radio. Probably a couple other differences...too tired right now.

All depends on the condition of it.

Sorry guys and gals with cars built after 1977.There just isn't much at all for you folks.But keep reading,please. Most of the stock is '72-74,5...up But really,it's about 90% 1971-74 :-\ There is some ff-1 stuff and a few 360 items. For the Stage II '77 thru '79 car owner and up to '81 Brat there are just a few fenders.I think it was two passenger,one driver's,and maybe one or two more that were slightly buried.Not much else I'm sorry to report. ***No 1600 Y-pipe exhausts either,but there are 2wd rear sections and I saw a 2wd midpipe or two on the floor. ***No 1800 exhaust at all from what I saw.
